You&rsquo;ll be the trusted caregiver responsible for walking dogs, feeding pets, administering basic health checks, and offering peace of mind to pet owners while they&rsquo;re away. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where every day brings new furry friends and exciting challenges!Duties<ul><li>Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they get proper exercise and mental stimulation.</li><li>Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining routines.</li><li>Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills.</li><li>Perform basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing fur or cleaning ears to keep pets comfortable.</li><li>Recognize signs of distress or health issues; communicate observations to pet owners or veterinary professionals when necessary.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment during pet care visits, including kennel cleaning if applicable.</li><li>Offer additional services like pet grooming or light training to enhance pet well-being.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a strong plus.</li><li>Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, veterinary technician roles, or as veterinary assistants is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet grooming practices enhances your effectiveness.</li><li>Background in animal handling across different species such as equine (horses) or other domestic animals is beneficial.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns confidently.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for transporting supplies or assisting larger animals.
