Caregiver – Low-Interaction / Independent Client Support
 
Location: [Seattle, WA]
 Schedule: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (consistent days)
 Pay: $26.50/ hour (based on experience)
 
About the Role
 
We are seeking a calm, reliable caregiver to support a client who values independence, personal space, and minimal interaction.
 
This is a low-engagement care environment. The caregiver will be present for safety, light support, and oversight, but the client will often choose to spend time independently.
 
This role is best suited for caregivers who are comfortable being present without needing constant interaction or task activity.
 
Client Care Approach (Very Important)
 
This client requires a hands-off, respectful approach: 
<ul>
<li>Do not initiate excessive conversation or engagement</li>
<li>Respect the client's space — she may prefer to be alone</li>
<li>Avoid hovering, directing, or appearing supervisory</li>
<li>Be available when needed, but not intrusive</li>
<li>Provide quiet oversight and gentle support when appropriate</li>
</ul>
Success in this role means knowing when not to engage.

The ideal caregiver will be: 
<ul>
<li>Calm, patient, and emotionally self-aware</li>
<li>Comfortable with silence and low-interaction environments</li>
<li>Not easily offended by limited engagement from the client</li>
<li>Observant and attentive without being intrusive</li>
<li>Highly reliable and consistent in attendance</li>
</ul>
Family Communication
 
<ul>
<li>There is an involved family member who may:</li>
<li>Send texts or request updates during the shift</li>
<li>Ask questions or request check-ins</li>
<li>Caregiver must remain responsive while maintaining professional boundaries</li>
</ul>
Schedule & Consistency
 
<ul>
<li>Preferred shifts: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM</li>
<li>Some flexibility available</li>
<li>Consistency is critical — routine and familiarity are very important for this client</li>
</ul>
Important Note
 
This case requires strong reliability and commitment.
 Inconsistent scheduling or frequent call-offs can negatively impact the client's well-being.
 
We are prioritizing caregivers seeking a stable, long-term placement.
 
Training
 
<ul>
<li>A paid training shift will be completed alongside the current caregiver</li>
<li>Training will occur while the client is out of the home to ensure a smooth and supportive transition</li>
</ul>

Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing (as needed)</li>
<li>Meal preparation and dietary support</li>
<li>Medication reminders</li>
<li>Mobility and fall-prevention support</li>
<li>Light housekeeping</li>
<li>Document care notes and communicate updates</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>Active HCA, CNA, or NAC certification</li>
<li>Current TB test</li>
<li>CPR certification</li>
<li>Food Worker Card</li>
<li>Valid government-issued photo ID</li>
<li>Strong communication and professionalism</li>
</ul>
