FHCSD also offers supportive services to those who are unsheltered and in need of intensive case management.
The breadth of our clinic locations, services and programs has grown over the last five decades, making us the largest community clinic provider of health care to the uninsured in the county and one of the top 10 largest community clinic organizations in the nation. We are also the largest health care safety-net provider, largest school-based health care provider and the largest mental health provider in the San Diego region.
Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for a Supervisor, Human Resources to supervise staff in the coordination and completion of day-to-day Human Resources functions which may include HRIS, recruiting, wellness, employee communications, audits, reporting and special projects.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Build positive relationships, inspire others to perform at a higher level, prepare career development plans and retain an accountable workforce.</li><li>
Coach and counsel staff, and administer appropriate disciplinary action in a timely manner.</li><li>
Provide/ensure employees receive all new hire and annual trainings on time.</li><li>
Conduct and provide performance appraisals and/or performance improvement plans to ensure staff functions at its highest possible level.</li><li>
Supervise staff in the coordination and completion of day-to-day Human Resources functions which may include HRIS, recruiting, wellness, employee communications, audits, reporting and special projects.</li><li>
Efficiently manage workflow and deadlines, assist with short and long term planning, make policy and program recommendations, and support new approaches, policies and procedures to support continuous improvement and LEAN activities in the broad range of Human Resources functions and services provided.</li><li>
Perform reporting and analysis of relevant Human Resources data. Create both routine and ad-hoc reports that are audience appropriate, timely, and accurate.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and external vendors; resolve issues and serve as point-of-contact for employees, managers, and executives.</li><li>
Review materials and procedures to verify compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations as they relate to FHCSD policies, procedures and overall practices.</li><li>
Consult with immediate manager when issues are noted.</li><li>
Provide support in organizing work distribution through effectively managing the workload to meet HR&rsquo;s operational targeted standards.</li><li>
Ensure employees understand their assigned duties or delegated tasks.</li><li>
Assist in providing training to all staff to include new hires.</li><li>
Provide staff ongoing training and development as directed by immediate manager.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or closely related field required.</li><li>
2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.</li><li>
Supervisory experience preferred.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in a lead role preferred.</li><li>
Basic project management and oversight skills.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of performance management and employee development.</li><li>
Good analytical skills and ability to create useful, actionable reports from data.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relating to Human Resources.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of the policies, procedures, and best practices relating to Human Resources.</li><li>
Basic project management skills that include the ability to plan projects, forecast time required, organize internal and external resources, and ensure project meets deadlines.</li><li>
Intermediate skills in computer applications and software, including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, VISIO, and Publisher. HRIS experience may be required depending on the specific duties.</li><li>
Traveling between sites and other locations is occasionally required. Must have a valid California driver&rsquo;s license, an automobile, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required. California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver&rsquo;s license within ten days of establishing residency. Conducts initial and on-going assessment of client's health and/or support service needs. Sets level of client need.</li><li>
Creates formalized case plans and goals with clients; clients are high-need and require more intense services. Develops a written care-plan with the client, identifying problems and needs. Plan includes areas assessed, intended interventions, and expected results in measurable terms, with short and long term goals. Updates plan as client's needs change.</li><li>
Provides therapeutic interventions to clients. Provides intensive individual support to high need clients. Support may include providing therapeutic interventions, providing internal and community services referrals, and more intensive support may include accompanying clients to housing services, appointments, social services, etc. Focus on medical adherence, support, and appointments designed to maintaining necessary care.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
3 years of work experience providing human services to high risk, medically underserved, disabled populations, and/or relevant community health populations required.</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Social Science field, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field required. Master's degree in relevant field preferred.</li><li>
Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.</li><li>
For the AOD Services Department (159) Only: Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training required.</li><li>

Family Health Centers of San Diego is hiring for a per-diem Podiatrist to join our team.
This position will cover 1-3 shifts per week at several of our different clinic locations.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Podiatrist is responsible for the operation of the Podiatry Department. Responsibilities
<ul><li>Assists the Medical Director in protocol and program development as requested.</li><li>
Completes all required documentation accurately, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements, including medication reconciliation, finalizing notes, clearing out personal pool, and participating in clinic pool.</li><li>
Follows FHCSD policies and procedures, including (but not limited to), cooperating with the timely submission of credentialing and licensing paperwork; maintaining CME units based on the requirements of the specifying Board; attending all mandatory meetings; minimizing incident reports; using resources efficiently and practicing medicine in a cost-effective manner.</li><li>
Maintain FHCSD behavioral standards, including (but not limited to), effective listening and communication skills and respectful interactions with colleagues and patients.</li><li>
Maintains a productivity expectation of 2.74 patients per hour with minimum productivity of 2.2 patients per hour.</li><li>
Maintains satisfactory peer reviews: able to assess medical information including pathophysiology, patient presentation, differential diagnosis, etc., in order to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention.</li><li>
Meets clinic site and organization needs in a reliable and flexible manner; prioritizes work and makes an effort to adhere to schedule.</li><li>
Participate in Clinical Outcomes Program and work towards meeting organizational targets for all metrics.</li><li>
Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.</li><li>

Requirements<ul><li>
Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Requires an active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance at $100,000, on vehicle used. No more than 2 points in past 12 months; No suspensions in last 2 years for moving violations; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 5 years. No license revocation in 7 years.</li><li>
Board certified in Podiatry.</li><li>
DEA license</li><li>
Graduate from an accredited school of podiatry.</li><li>
Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.</li></ul>
Desired Experience
<ul><li>1 year experience working with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.</li><li>
Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations (i.e., electronic medical record documentation).</li><li>
Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly desired. Cultural and linguistic sensitivity to populations served required.</li><li>
