Job Summary:
Arctic TestingInspection is currently seeking a Accounting Specialist. Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts PayablePurchasing<ul><li>
Issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures</li><li>
Receive and process purchase orders as items are delivered</li><li>
Conduct open PO reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness</li><li>
Close purchase orders once all items have been received and processed</li><li>
Enter and process invoices in a timely manner</li><li>
Communicate with vendors to obtain missing invoices and resolve discrepancies</li><li>
Process and reconcile AP P-Card transactions</li><li>
Coordinate and manage office supply orders</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
TimekeepingAccounts Receivable</h1><ul><li>
Gather and review timesheets and Field Job Tickets (FJT), ensuring manager approval</li><li>
Review, compile, and prepare data for payroll processing and client billing</li><li>
Import and/or enter timekeeping data accurately into systems</li><li>
Enter equipment usage and consumable charges for billing purposes</li><li>
Review invoices for accuracy and reconcile discrepancies</li><li>
Perform data entry and submit required documentation through customer portals</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Month-End Close Support</h1><ul><li>
Assist the Controller with month-end close activities</li><li>
Prepare and post journal entries as assigned</li><li>
Support account reconciliations and other closing tasks</li></ul>
Requirements and Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in either Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems</li><li>
Strong communication skills for vendor and internal coordination</li></ul>
Preferred Requirements and Education:<ul><li>
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
</li><li>Experience with timekeeping and billing systems</li><li>
Experience with Track</li></ul>
