 Position Overview
 
 
 
 Responsible for leading employees to ensure customer satisfaction by moving all shipments on time and damage free while observing company and regulatory policies and procedures
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead, educate and develop company employees
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers&rsquo; freight is delivered and picked-up timely and damage free
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with dispatch at various terminals and with dock employees to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor dock to ensure proper loading techniques
 </li>
 <li>
 Evaluate and reconfigure route structures and bids based on local tendencies and characteristics
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct safety meetings and facilitate quality groups
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest shipments on a trailer, billing freight bills, trace shipments, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide clean and safe working condition of the facility and equipment; check security at customer center to ensure everything is secure
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with Account Manager(s) to ensure customers&rsquo; and company&rsquo;s needs are met
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify freight moving at incorrect weight and classification
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all OS&amp;D is identified and processed properly
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor actual performance data and gather information for reporting
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist Operations Supervisors as needed; conduct pre-shift meetings; implement company policy
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other duties as required

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior management experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
 </li>
 <li>
 Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work in a remote location, taking self-initiative without requiring immediate local supervision
 </li>
 <li>
 Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>

 Dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, noise

Mgr-Operations

<div>POSITION OVERVIEW: 
Leads the development and execution of holistic, enterprise-wide category management strategies, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, diversity, and risk management initiatives. Develops, executes, and manages sourcing strategies using the Company's sourcing methodology. 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides strategic evaluation of category/spend information, benchmarking, and makes recommendations for sourcing strategy and supplier scorecard criteria.
Develops category expertise, category management expertise, and market contacts, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders in all aspects of sourcing.
Leads internal projects/programs.
Participates in supplier negotiations, supporting senior staff, and leadership.
Acts with authority with suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.
Complies with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline</li><li>
Five (5) years work experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or related field, a related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.</li><li>
Excellent knowledge of project management, current technology tools/advances, and database/analytical tools.</li><li>
Good interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Strong written and oral communication skills..</li></ul>
JOB CONDITIONS:

Preferred Qualifications: Deep expertise in Data &amp; Technology sourcing across hardware and software, including TCO analysis, supplier segmentation, and cloud licensing optimization. Strong contract lifecycle management and negotiation experience across SaaS, subscription, and cloud agreements. Drive enterprise value through stakeholder alignment across Digital, IT, and Technology teams. Develop and execute sourcing strategies incorporating risk management and evolving market trends.

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Harrison, AR or Memphis, TN. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
