FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Digital Copywriter / Content Creator will develop project briefs, write engaging content for multiple digital platforms, and provide diverse digital content including images and video to support client objectives.</div><div></div><div><br>

Work Schedule and Location:</b></div><div><b><br>
Hybrid:</b> This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.</div><br>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Liaise with client from concept to completion</li><li>
Develop project scoping and create clear briefs to ensure the client needs are being projected, suit the content and styles of the writings according to the client's purpose</li><li>
Understand the targeted audience to write something that will interest them, identify key messages that will help communicate the emotion you want the reader to feel, work collaboratively with other departments and creative teams to ensure that the visuals elements of the content complement the client's vision</li><li>
Research and educate about the client's industry and their audience, identify fresh and interesting information for the content, write for webpages, podcasts, blogs, social media, e-books, slogans, videos, webinars, and many others</li><li>
Provide a wide range of digital content such as images, video, and others at request</li><li>
Work in collaboration with your team members and other agencies to review the impact of your work</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:
<div>
Required:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field</li><li>
4+ years of experience in a related field</li><li>
IT skills and understanding of HTML or WordPress among others</li><li>
Creative thinking, strong listening, and interpersonal skills, understanding of what the client wants and effectively develop project briefs</li><li>
Excellent writing abilities in different styles and to other people's direction, good research and analytical skills, organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines</li><li>
Ability to work independently and flexibility, attentive to detail to proofread, understanding of digital marketing and search engine optimization (SEO)</li><li>
Creative approach to come up with new ideas for projects and for getting a message across innovatively</li><li>
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English</li></ul><div></div><div><div><div><div><b><br>

The Digital Content Strategist will develop content strategies aligned with business goals, monitor cultural and social trends, and ensure strategic direction is translated into effective creative work across digital platforms.</div><div></div><div><br>

Provide calendars of social media strategies being implemented and forthcoming</li><li>
Perform extensive research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter, and then contextualizing your findings</li><li>
Monitor cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers' attitudes, behavior and perceptions</li><li>
Liaise with the client's Communications team to ensure that consumer attitudes and needs are thought of at the beginning of the campaign</li><li>
Conduct keyword research and use of SEO guidelines to optimize content</li><li>
Provide input as needed during creative development to ensure that the strategic direction is correctly translated into creative work</li><li>
Develop content governance guidelines for tone, style and voice of all content, and ensure they are followed</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:

Required:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field</li><li>
4+ years of experience in a related field</li><li>
Be creative and able to think around problems</li><li>
Familiar with digital marketing channels, content marketing and distribution platforms, and consumer analytics</li><li>
Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, information architecture, and usability best practices</li><li>
Hands-on experience with content management systems</li><li>
Keen interest and experience in analyzing marketing problems, brand tracking research and spotting opportunities to develop the brand</li><li>
Work alongside account management team and support in developing highly creative campaigns</li><li>
