We are seeking a kindhearted, energetic <b>Certified</b> <b>Caregiver/Med Tech for our Cottonwood, AZ </b>location who has a genuine desire to help seniors and is committed to meeting their day-to-day needs while helping to preserve their dignity and quality of life. This is a level 1 and level 2 care community.</div><div></div><div><br>
The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of support services to our Assisted Living residents, including but not limited to, <b>administering medications</b> to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner based on medical chart records.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Document the care provided and report any changes in the resident's condition.</li><li>
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.</li><li>
Perform welfare checks on residents.</li><li>
Document and report care provided and resident observations.</li><li>
Provide physical assistance, laundry &amp; bedding assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.</li><li>
Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.</li><li>
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.</li><li>
Administer prescribed medications to assisted living residents and maintain medical records.</li><li>
Order and complete medication records.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>
Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.</li><li>
Coachable and the willingness and ability to learn.
</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.</li><li>
The ability to deliver compassionate care to elderly patients.</li><li>
Prior caregiving and medication administration experience a plus.</li></ul><div><b>
Certificates required:</b></div><ul><li><b>
Certification as an Arizona Caregiver is required.</b></li><li>
CPR and First Aid certifications are required.</li><li>
A valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.</li><li>
A current negative TB test is required. If necessary, we can administer the test free of charge.</li></ul><div><b>
Schedule: </b>Part-Time &amp; Full-Time, Day shifts available.</div><div><br>
