 HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
 
 
 
 The Mechanical Technician to manufacture precision mechanical products and subassemblies. This role focuses on mechanical assembly &mdash; ensuring components are built to specification and meet strict quality and cosmetic standards.
 
 
 
 
 
 You will work from product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high-quality assemblies. The role involves inspecting parts, monitoring output for quality, and maintaining required production records. You will follow established guidelines for safety, material handling, and use of protective gear. A Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining company-owned toolboxes and for maintaining a neat and orderly work cell and common work areas. Reports to Supervisor of Manufacturing and Production.
 
 
 
 
 
 This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses.

 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

 &middot; Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical assembly and production equipment.
 </li>

 &middot; Assemble and align components according to blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Perform inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and cosmetic standards are met.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Troubleshoot and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Maintain accurate records of production activities and quality checks.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Follow established safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and continuously improve processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 &middot; Periodically assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
 </li>

 WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
 
 
 
 &middot; High School/Trade School diploma and 2&ndash;4 years of related mechanical assembly experience.
 
 
 &middot; Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly tools such as torque wrenches, presses, gauges, and calipers.
 
 
 &middot; Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
 
 
 &middot; Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
 
 
 &middot; Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
 
 
 Physical Requirements:
 
 
 &middot; Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
 
 
 &middot; Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from worksite to another.
 
 
 &middot; Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
 
 
 &middot; Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
 
 
 &middot; Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
 
 
 &middot; Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
 
 
 &middot; Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
 
 
 &middot; Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
 
 
 &middot; Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
 
 
 &middot; Occasional medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
 
 
 &middot; Occasional heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds.
 
 
 &middot; Prolonged use of computer monitors.
