Pet Sitting &lt;PERSON&gt;Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Pet Sitter to provide attentive care for pets, exotics, and farm animals in their owners' homes or farms. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent animal handling skills, and the ability to manage various pet care duties. This role involves following written instructions, ensuring pets are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for during their owners' absence. Prior experience with farm animals, veterinary procedures, dog training, is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their well-being in a professional setting. Looking for someone that is willing to act as my assistant in other areas of the business as well.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide daily pet care including feeding, administering medication if necessary, and ensuring hydration</li><li>Engage pets with playtime and exercise tailored to their needs</li><li>Perform dog handling and animal restraint safely during walks or vet visits</li><li>Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns first to mgmt.</li><li>Maintain a clean environment around the pets, including cleaning bedding and feeding areas</li><li>Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required</li><li>Manage pet safety by recognizing signs of distress or illness and responding appropriately</li><li>Handle heavy lifting when necessary for transporting supplies or assisting with larger animals like horses</li><li>Follow specific instructions related to pet training routines or veterinary care plans</li><li>Be able to take photo worthy pictures and videos and write creative captions</li></ul>Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience such as pet sitting, animal handling, or kennel work. Additional desirable skills include:<ul><li>Dog training and obedience skills</li><li>Veterinary technician or assistant experience</li><li>Animal restraint techniques</li><li>Equine experience for caring for horses or large animals</li><li>Customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners</li><li>Pet grooming expertise</li><li>Candidates with farm animal experience, veterinary experience or background in animal care will be preferred. Prior heavy lifting experience is beneficial for managing larger animals or equipment.
