About this Role:

FiberTel, LLC is looking for an <b>Aerial Superviso</b>r for our San Jose, CA location.</div><div></div><div><br>
The <b>Aerial Supervisor </b>position will oversee a crew of employees depending on job type and size. This position will coordinate with the Field Supervisor on lining out daily jobs. She/he will oversee installations, ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assess install sites, and prepare install diagrams. The Foreman will teach, and train employees assigned to their crew. This position will guarantee that all safety protocols are followed, and crew members wear proper PPE.</div><div><br>
</div><div>Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services.</div><div><br>
</div>What You'll Do:

Responsibilities:</b><br>
</div><div></div><div>All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.</div><ul><li>
Ensure crew is on time and performing daily tasks
</li><li>Plan &amp; Strategize with crew, set goals for job completions
</li><li>Perform daily pre-trip, JHA, and monthly safety lessons
</li><li>Maintain professionalism with public, customers, and crew
</li><li>Obtain prints &amp; permits for all assigned jobs from Supervisor
</li><li>Setup &amp; cleanup of worksite, plan for no return trips
</li><li>Follow all instructions from Supervisor, maintain communication
</li><li>Communicate with outside vendors; traffic control &amp; rentals
</li><li>Perform proper traffic control and public safety procedures
</li><li>As-built and hand in completed prints
</li><li>Teach &amp; Train all crew members all their tasks
</li><li>Submit daily timecards for crew and self
</li><li>Contact city officials on permits or communicate w/ Supervisor
</li><li>Rely job completion metrics to Supervisor and enter in tracker
</li><li>Problem solve &amp; create solutions to keep crew productive
</li><li>Create a plan for the following day
</li></ul>What You'll Bring:
<div><b>
Qualifications:
</b></div><ul><li>5+ years&rsquo; experience in Aerial telecommunications industry
</li><li>Experience installing coax and fiber in the ROW
</li><li>Excellent understanding with LAN, WAN, and backbone network
</li><li>Ability to work in confined &amp; elevated spaces
</li><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
</li><li>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.
</li><li>A good driving record is required.
</li><li>Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
</li><li>Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
</li><li>Class A Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).
</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
</li><li>Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
</li><li>Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
</li>Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance<br>

</b></div><ul><li>Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry.
</li><li>Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
</li>Ability to travel.<br>

</li></ul><div></div><div><b>Working Conditions:
</b></div><div>This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.<br>
</div><div></div><div><b>Physical Requirements:
</b></div><div>The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
