JOB DESCRIPTION:The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the Controller to learn our systems and processes. As part of the Leadership Team, they will have an opportunity to engage regularly with the CEO, CFO, and the Board. These activities include helping to qualify vendors, evaluate T&amp;Cs, onboarding new employees and providing financial reporting.We're growing and have 60% more associates than we did 5 years ago. If you have a passion for learning and want to build your career in a progressive organization serving growing markets, this role could be an ideal fit for you!DEPARTMENT: FinanceREPORTS TO:Controller - directly (solid line)CFO - indirectly (dotted line)JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):<ul><li>Maintaining Financial Records: Managing and updating financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and payroll files.</li><li>Accounts Receivable: Processing invoices, RMAs, freight claims, payments, and other related tasks. Assist in evaluating Customer Net terms. Contact Customers who are past due on their account for collection.</li><li>Accounts Payable: Processing invoices, payments, and other related tasks. Maintain vendor files, Certificates of Insurance and processing 1099s.</li><li>Payroll and Human Resources: Onboarding new employees, managing personnel records, payroll software, processing bi-weekly payroll and benefits.</li><li>Customer Sales Tax: Sales tax exempt certificate tracking and assisting third-party firm with processing tax filing.</li><li>Insurance: Help manage renewal process for both health benefits as well as company policies.</li><li>Assisting with Financial Statements: Contributing to development of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.</li><li>Reconciling Accounts: Comparing financial records to subledgers to identify and correct discrepancies.</li><li>Assisting with Budgeting and Forecasting: Contributing to the development of budgets and financial forecasts.</li><li>Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations.</li><li>Internal Controls: Assessing internal procedures and recommending improvements.</li><li>Audit Support: Preparing documentation and supporting external audits.</li><li>Assisting with General Ledger Management: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.</li><li>Projects: Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and accuracy of financial data.</li></ul>PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Highly proficient in math, accounting and financial processes</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Detail oriented and highly organized</li><li>Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks</li><li>Proficiency in Accounting Software and Excel</li><li>Exceptional critical thinking skills</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations</li></ul>JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field</li><li>At least 5 years&rsquo; experience in accounting</li><li>CPA or CMA a plus</li></ul>About Fibre Glast Developments Corporation, LLC: For over 65 years, our passion at Fibre Glast is to help people make amazing things.
