The Team:
<ul><li>The Infrastructure as a Service team designs, builds, and maintains automation that powers server and storage platforms across the enterprise.
</li><li>The team develops automation and applications using Python, Golang, REST services, Angular, Node.js, and Ansible, leveraging tools such as AWX and AAP.
</li><li>Work includes creating scalable solutions that streamline infrastructure deployment, configuration, and lifecycle operations.
</li><li>The environment is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on delivering reliable automation, improving development practices, and advancing platform capabilities.
</li><li>Team members frequently engage in problem solving across diverse technologies and are expected to contribute creatively to architecture, design, and continuous improvement.
</li></ul>The Skills You Bring:
<ul><li>Proven experience in full stack development using several of the following: Go, Python, Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, REST services, AWS, Ansible, and automation frameworks.
</li><li>Background working with infrastructure automation, including writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and roles.
</li><li>Familiarity with Bootstrap, HTML/CSS, shell scripting, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
</li><li>Comfortable working across Linux environments and able to troubleshoot and debug within system and application layers.
</li><li>Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing frameworks, and iterative development in an agile setting.
</li><li>Ability to deploy, customize, and integrate open-source tools and utilities.
</li><li>Understanding of scalable design patterns, service-oriented or microservice architectures, and modern development practices.
</li><li>Experience working in a DevOps environment.
</li></ul>Additional Backup &amp; Recovery Skills:
<ul><li>Experience with enterprise backup platforms (Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam or similar).
</li><li>Knowledge of backup strategies including full, incremental, differential, and snapshot-based backups.
</li><li>Experience automating recovery workflows using Go or Ansible.
</li><li>Understanding of disaster recovery including RTO/RPO and failover processes.
</li><li>Experience with recovery testing and validation.

The Team
Fidelity Brokerage Alternatives Technology team influences the direction of Alternative Investments and Fidelity Crypto solutions for retail customers. We are a comprehensive software engineering practice, leading the build of core product and platform capabilities, the championing of new technologies and promoting collaboration and open communication to facilitate better decision-making at all levels.
The Purpose of Your Role
Our teams build and work towards Fidelity&rsquo;s digital presence. As a software engineer, you will help us build the omni channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence. You&rsquo;ll work on building entire features, taking these from concept to deployment, as part of our autonomous, cross functional teams. You'll have the opportunity to share ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a team-based, iterative, and fast-paced environment.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
<ul><li>5+ years of professional experience developing web apps using Angular 12+, RxJS, Redux/NgRx and TypeScript in an agile environment.
</li><li>Experience or willingness to learn Android, iOS and mobile technologies.
</li><li>Knowledge of web landscape, architectures (micro-frontend, BFF, Module Federation), trends and emerging technologies used in creating performant and resilient websites
</li><li>Your advanced Git skills, branching strategies and CI/CD practices.
</li><li>Your knowledge of HTTP/S based APIs,, Networking and how the internet works.
</li><li>Expertise with test automation tools and frameworks e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Jest and Storybook.
</li><li>Critical problem-solving skills, Passionate, opinionated about writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code with a test-first development approach
</li><li>Familiarity with developing features for our web experiences using Angular and Microservices in NodeJS/NestJS.
</li><li>Experience with Nx workspaces, ability to use Nx for managing monorepos and enhancing developer productivity
</li><li>Experience in internet security: OAuth, Open ID connect and knowledge of standard methodologies
</li><li>Strong working knowledge of AWS ecosystem (EC2, Lambda, Serverless computing, DynamoDB)
</li><li>Understanding containerization, Docker, and orchestration will be a plus.
</li><li>End-to-end architecture experience with focus on customer experience, ease of use, reusable core &amp; common components development, leverage proven architecture pattens, standards, accessibility guidelines, security, A/B testing, personalization, analytics and measurements
