General Function:</div><div>
The Lead Digital Product Designer for Commercial Banking operates within the Digital Product Design &amp; User Experience organization, partnering closely with designers, product leaders, engineers, stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to shape the future of Fifth Third&rsquo;s commercial banking experiences. Reporting to the Head of Digital Product Design &amp; UX, the role champions design thinking and user-centered design practices in an agile environment - leading the charge to create intuitive, elegant, and effective digital experiences for our commercial clients.</div><div></div><div>
Success in this position requires a seasoned design leader with a strong track record of defining experience strategies through best-in-class design and research methodologies. The ideal candidate brings leadership skills that align cross-functional teams and inspire stakeholders around a shared vision. In addition to guiding user-centered discovery processes, the Lead Digital Product Designer will mentor junior team members while scaling the impact of design across the enterprise through thoughtful coaching and advocacy of best practices.</div><div></div><div>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Design intuitive digital product experiences that simplify complex functionality through research, conceptual thinking, and user-centered design.</li><li>
Facilitate collaborative working sessions such as design thinking workshops, story mapping, and design sprints to align teams and accelerate decision-making.</li><li>
Develop experience recommendations using site maps, user flows, wireframes, and interaction-based prototypes.</li><li>
Partner with design leadership, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure the right designers and skill sets are matched to the right challenges at the right time.</li><li>
Lead the day-to-day activities of purpose-driven design teams, fostering alignment and momentum.</li><li>
Advocate for and guide user research initiatives in close collaboration with the research team.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints driving customer-centric strategies forward.</li><li>
Support development teams through implementation to ensure design intent is carried through to final delivery.</li><li>
Contribute to process improvements and change management efforts, evangelizing user-centered design and forward-thinking digital experiences.</li><li>
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to support their growth, confidence, and design maturity.</li><li>
Cultivate and share design knowledge, tools, and best practices across the organization to elevate the craft and impact of the team.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Supervisory Responsibilities</div><div>

Knowledge, Skills &amp; Ability Required:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or design certification in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design or related field.</li><li>
8+ years of experience with a robust portfolio of UX work, ideally within B2B or commercial client-focused industries.</li><li>
Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems using logical reasoning, evidence-based analysis, and creative thinking. Demonstrates the ability to articulate abstract concepts, guide teams with clarity, and apply design thinking and innovation methods effectively.</li><li>
Commitment to continuous learning and growth, with a proactive approach to adapting to evolving challenges and applying new insights.</li><li>
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to maintain progress independently.</li><li>
Focused on efficiency and consistency, with experience developing and refining structured workflows that support quality outcomes and continuous improvement.</li><li>

Familiarity with analytics tagging and experience measurement methods.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in Figma is required.</li><li>

GENERAL FUNCTION:</div><div>
Selected candidates are intended to become a Retail Personal Banker I after completing a 4-8 week on-boarding and education program that includes rotations in operations and Sales &amp; Service. There will be a certification at the conclusion of the program to provide selected candidates the opportunity to demonstrate skills necessary to successfully perform a role within the Retail Personal Banker job family. The Personal Banker I is a Financial Center position focused on using the consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers or prospects. The Personal Banker I maintains focus on acquiring new households and/or deepening existing customer relationships through a variety of activities, including but not limited to lobby leadership (Financial Centers) or aisle time (Bank Marts) and tele-consulting. This role is responsible for processing teller transactions as well as working as a member of the platform staff.</div><div></div><div>

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</div><ul><li>
Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.</li><li>
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using our value proposition.</li><li>
Utilize CAMP and other approved Marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.</li><li>
Primarily focused on cross-selling to existing customer base and engaging in outside sales activities (i.e. Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events, etc.) as directed.</li><li>
Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment), referring customers when appropriate to provide timely, and holistic financial solutions.</li><li>
Consistently meet/exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhance year-over-year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&amp;L.</li><li>
Provide guidance to CSRs with respect to the sales and referral process.</li><li>
Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism.</li><li>
Act with confidence by answering customer questions and owning customer issues.</li><li>
Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all business confidential.</li><li>
Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.</li><li>
Adhere to established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of Retail products.</li><li>
Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing.</li><li>

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</div><ul><li>
College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or, combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Experience in the financial industry preferred.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.</li><li>
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.</li><li>
Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to develop a working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions.</li><li>
This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
