 Being a member of EDW Development Team, Senior Data Engineer participates in designing and deploying databases, stored procedures, complex queries and SSIS / automation jobs.
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Developing and maintaining systems to store, organize, and access data.
 </li>
 <li>
 Development of Data Assets (OLAP Cubes, Data Marts, Data Flows, Datasets, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Development of stored procedures, triggers and ETL scripts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform T-SQL code reviews during key points of the SDLC and enforce compliance with T-SQL coding standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Development of advanced reports and dashboards.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 
 
 
 The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database systems, tools and applications using the Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure platforms.
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Development and support tasks related to different components of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is accurately and efficiently captured, transformed, and loaded into the data warehouse.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop, optimize and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and manage data pipelines to facilitate the flow of data between various systems and the data warehouse.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through robust testing and validation procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Optimize data architecture and processes for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and generate reports and dashboards using BI tools (SSRS, Power BI) to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse application performance and resolve issues and bottlenecks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, data warehousing, and reporting.
 </li>

 QUALIFICATIONS

 Proven ability to provide solutions to complex technical problems in a creative and analytic manner.

 Proven success as a team player having extensive experience in a team-oriented environment.

 EXPERIENCE
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 3+ years of proven practical experience as Data Warehouse Developer, as well as solid knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts.
 </li>
 <li>
 3+ years of experience and solid knowledge of MS SQL Server.
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid knowledge of TSQL language; skills to write efficient TSQL code.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in performance tuning on SQL query / execution plan / data model level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with SSIS or any other ETL tool.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Power BI, SSRS or any other BI/reporting tool.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with the following technologies is considered a plus:
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Big Data (Spark, Hive and Hadoop eco-system) and/or data warehousing technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata).
 </li>
 <li>
 Any of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Python, C#
 </li>
 </ol>

 Proven abilities of technical writing and documentation
