Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing invoicing and collection activities to support accurate financial records and healthy cash flow. This role works closely with internal teams and external customers to resolve billing issues, ensure timely payment, and maintain positive client relationships while upholding company policies and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable &amp; Collections
<ul>
<li>Generate accurate invoices and submit them to customers in a timely manner</li>
<li>Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances</li>
<li>Communicate with customers to resolve billing questions, discrepancies, and payment issues 
</li>
<li>Maintain clear documentation of collection efforts and customer communications</li>
</ul>
Compliance &amp; Accuracy
<ul>
<li>Ensure AR processes align with company policies and accounting best practices</li>
<li>Maintain accurate customer records, payment terms, and contact information</li>
<li>Support audits and internal reviews by providing requested documentation</li>
<li>Protect confidential financial and customer information</li>
</ul>
Collaboration &amp; Support
<ul>
<li>Work closely with internal departments to resolve invoicing or contract-related issues</li>
<li>Escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with company collections procedures</li>
<li>Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable</li>
<li>Provide backup support for other accounting projects as needed</li></ul> 


Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li>
<li>Professional written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software</li>
<li>Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) preferred</li>
<li>Experience in construction, maintenance, or service-based industries preferred 
</li>
<li>Passionate about delivering excellent customer service</li></ul>
