Must be available to work Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and special events.The FBC Childcare Worker is responsible for providing nurturing and high-quality care for children on Sunday mornings and evenings, Wednesday evenings, and for other church-related activities as needed following the guidelines of the First Baptist Church Preschool Ministries Policies.Essential Duties:1. Ministry-specific Duties<ul><li>Be in the room ready to receive children at least 15 minutes before scheduled activity.</li><li>Nurture and care for the children in your room.</li><li>Teach using the materials prepared and provided by the Minister of Children and Families.</li><li>Work cooperatively with children, families, staff, and church volunteers.</li><li>Maintain check-in/check-out policies for children as well as their toys and supplies.</li><li>Keep teaching space, supplies, and toys clean.</li><li>Make sure all diapers are changed and children who are toilet training are taken to the bathroom.</li><li>At the end of every session, clean and put away all toys, disinfect all surfaces, and place trash outside of the room.</li><li>Display high standards in attitude, outlook, and morals with awareness of the importance of leading by example.</li></ul>2. Miscellaneous Duties<ul><li>Practice excellent attendance and punctuality.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>The physical demands and environmental factors listed below as well as attendance are essential functions for this position.Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Position involves prolonged standing, sitting, walking, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, talking, and listening.</li><li>Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently</li></ul>Dress Requirements:<ul><li>Dress should be appropriate for a church setting.</li><li>No spaghetti straps, short shorts/skirts, or midriffs showing.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must be at least 18 years old</li><li>Christian commitment</li><li>Must pass a national background check</li><li>Must complete the Protect My Ministry online video course, make a 70 or above on the quiz, have a cleared background check, and comply with the church&rsquo;s Ministry with Minors Policy</li><li>Must enjoy children and have enthusiasm in helping them discover God&rsquo;s Word</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience working with children, preferably in a church setting, is preferred.</li></ul>Pay: $10.00 per hourWork Location: In person
