Basic Job Functions:</b></p>

<li>Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.</li>
<li>Perform, as directed, all necessary maintenance and repair of the equipment in a timely and cost efficient manner.</li>
<li>Identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.</li>

<p><b>Education/Experience:</b></p>

<li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Candidates must meet ONE of the following criteria to qualify:
<ul><li>One or more years&rsquo; experience as a FS manufacturing operator/production associate/operations technician</li>
<li>Two or more years external experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting</li>

<li>Strong potential developing technical skill set.</li>
<li>Hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Ready and eager to rapidly improve technical skills through structured training program. This training will result in the associate being able to troubleshoot and solve equipment and process issues on the manufacturing line</li>
<li>Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Good written and oral communications skills in English</li>
<li>Able to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks</li>
<li>Working knowledge of common Windows computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li>
<li>Able to identify recurring issues and develop/communicate improvement recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems under the supervision of experienced technicians, supervisors and engineers.</li>
<li>Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.</li>
<li>Identifies and implements yield and product performance improvements.</li>
<li>Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.</li>
<li>Develops methods to assign causes to yield excursions.</li>
<li>Sets up and maintain gauges.</li>
<li>Ensures all processes are running on target as defined by the Process Control Plan.</li>
<li>Responds to SPC process control alarms, bringing processes back into control.</li>
<li>Executes planned process experiments, collect and analyze data and report experimental results.</li>
<li>Collects data relating to daily tool performance and associated product performance.</li>
<li>Transitions new equipment and processes through start-up, qualification, and implementation</li>
<li>Provides training to production associates once a certain level of proficiency is reached.</li>
<li>Develops and update internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications.</li>
<li>Interface with internal associates and supplier representatives, as required, to complete assigned projects.</li>
<li>Develop a complete understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems.</li>
<li>Maintain effective communication with other members of the manufacturing team.</li>
<li>Disposition non-conforming product according to established criteria (NCP).</li>
<li>Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.</li>
<li>Will complete First Solar Associate EMT training program.</li>
<li>Ensure waste materials are discarded in their designated containers.</li>
<li>Ensure hazardous waste containers stay closed except when adding or removing waste.</li>
<li>Ensure satellite accumulation containers stay in their designated locations.</li>
</ul>
