What does a successful Sr. SQL Server DBA do at Fiserv?
Fiserv is looking for a self-motivated, highly experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to be focused on SSIS/SSRS as well as other SQL Server Databases. Experience in setting up SQL clusters and working knowledge in azure environments. The DBA is responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The team also builds and maintains large-scale and very high transaction SQL Server databases on Windows Server platforms. You will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required.
What you will do:
You will work with Sr SQL server DBAs, Product managers, application development engineers, networking, server teams learn to build, optimize and bring products to the market. User your strong technical experience working to fine tune the SQL databases and optimize SSRS (SQL server reporting services)/SSIS (SQL Server information services) for maximum reliability and productivity.<ul><li>
Provision and configure SQL Server instances for both new and existing products.</li><li>
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.</li><li>
Plan, implement, and maintain replication strategies.</li><li>
In depth analysis of performance, identification of areas of improvement, and implementation planning.</li><li>
Prepare documentation, procedures, and specifications.</li><li>
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.</li><li>
Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.</li><li>

Hands on experience implementing and maintaining Always On Availability Groups is required. Knowledge of additional replication models in a plus.</li><li>
Hands on experience implementing and maintaining SQL Server encryption models including TDE, Always Encrypt, SSL connections, etc.</li><li>
Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL jobs.</li><li>

Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL/T-SQL queries and jobs.</li><li>

As an OpenShift Platform Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, deploy, and maintain containerized OpenShift platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications and systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.<ul><li>
