The Outside Salesperson is expected to interact with existing and potential customers to maintain favorable relationships and increase the company&rsquo;s sales of products and services. The incumbent should be able to resolve customer issues/problems and develop new prospects. The Outside Salesperson should also be familiar with all sales processes and procedures; be knowledgeable of the auto parts industry; and have excellent organizational and communication skills.</div><br>

<div><b>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div><ul><li><div><br>
Perform daily sales calls on a prescribed route via driving a vehicle;</div></li><li><div><br>
Responsible for presentation and demonstrations of new products;</div></li><li><div><br>
Present and maintain customer programs, credits, and core returns;</div></li><li><div><br>
Present pricing and product change updates, obtain catalogs, and distribute price sheets to customers;</div></li><li><div><br>
Prospect and develop new accounts;</div></li><li><div><br>
Resolve customer issues and/or problems in a timely and effective manner;</div></li><li><div><br>
Organize customer clinics as required;</div></li><li><div><br>
Attend monthly Sales Meetings and additional training seminars as required to maintain current trends;</div></li><li><div><br>
Monitor customer account balances and collect monies owed;</div></li><li><div><br>
Maintain customer sales records;</div></li><li><div><br>
Must report to work in a continuous timely manner;</div></li><li><div><br>
Maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license and driving record which meets underwriting standards;</div></li><li><div><br>
Responsible for meeting all criteria and policies as set forth in the Company Employee Handbook, Driver&rsquo;s Handbook, and Fleet Safety Policy;</div></li><li><div><br>
Assists in special projects as requested.</div></li></ul><br>

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:</b></div><ul><li><div><br>
A minimum of 5 years of sales experience preferably in the automotive industry is desired with a proven record of continuous progressive sales records;</div></li><li><div><br>
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;</div></li><li><div><br>
Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be obtained by applicant and submitted for approval prior to hire date and satisfactory MVR must be maintained;</div></li><li><div><br>
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.</div></li></ul><br>

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that would allow you to work an assortment of days, evenings and/or weekends (as needed) designed to provide quality service, while successfully growing the business with profitability and integrity.</div><br>

Proficient computer skills preferred;</div></li><li><div><br>
Use appropriate phone skills and demonstrate excellent communication skills;</div></li><li><div><br>
Ability to work varied hours to obtain goals and vision of Company and position;</div></li><li><div><br>
Ability to work with minimal supervision.</div></li></ul><br>

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:</b></div><ul><li><div><br>
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted or greater than 50 lbs with assistance;</div></li><li><div><br>
Frequently required to sit/drive for long periods of time;</div></li><li><div><br>
Occasionally walk, stand, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, push, pull, crouch, squat, bend, twist, and stoop;</div></li><li><div><br>
Also required to climb, balance, crawl, talk, speak, and hear; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;</div></li><li><div><br>
May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration.</div></li><li><div><br>
Noise level may be moderate to heavy;</div></li><li><div><br>
Must have considerable mobility;</div></li><li><div><br>
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public, to understand highway traffic signs &amp; signals, to respond to officials, and to make entries on reports, logs, and records;</div></li><li><div><br>
Keep vehicle clean and check fluids regularly;</div></li><li><div><br>
Follow all company rules including safe driving policies and procedures and report any and all accidents / injuries immediately to management</div></li></ul></div>
