</div></div><div><div>The Office Assistant in the Bursar/Student Accounts Office provides front-line administrative and customer service support to students, families, and campus partners regarding student billing, payments, and account inquiries. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining student account records, and supporting the daily operations of the office.</div></div><div><div>

</p><div><div><b>Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:</b></div></div><div><div>
Student &amp; Customer Service</div></div><ul><li><div>
Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors regarding student account questions.</div></li><li><div>
Provide guidance on tuition bills, payment options, payment plans, and account balances.</div></li><li><div>
Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries in a professional and timely manner.</div></li><li><div>
Assist students and families with navigating online payment portals and understanding billing statements.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Administrative Support</div></div><ul><li><div>
Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, data entry, and document management.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain accurate student account records within the College&rsquo;s student information system.</div></li><li><div>
Assist with preparing and distributing billing statements and account notices.</div></li><li><div>
Support the processing of forms such as refund requests, and credit balance forms.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Financial Transaction Processing</div></div><ul><li><div>
Accept and process payments including cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic payments in accordance with institutional policies.</div></li><li><div>
Assist with daily cash reconciliation and balancing of receipts.</div></li><li><div>
Record and verify transactions to ensure accurate posting to student accounts.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Operational Support</div></div><ul><li><div>
Assist with semester start activities including billing preparation and student account review.</div></li><li><div>
Support the office with outreach to students regarding outstanding balances.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Collaboration</div></div><ul><li><div>
Work collaboratively with Financial Aid, Registrar, Housing, Admissions, and other campus departments to resolve student account matters.</div></li><li><div>
Provide general administrative support to the Bursar/Student Accounts team as needed.</div></li></ul><p>
</p><div><div><b>Requirements for the position include:</b></div></div><div><div>
Education</div></div><ul><li><div>
High school diploma required, associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Experience</div></div><ul><li><div>
1&ndash;2 years of administrative, customer service, or office support experience preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Experience in higher education or finance-related offices is a plus.</div></li></ul><div><div>
Skills</div></div><ul><li><div>
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.</div></li><li><div>
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</div></li><li><div>
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).</div></li><li><div>
Experience working with student information systems or financial systems preferred.</div></li></ul><div><div>
