Purchasing Specialist - Temporary 
Fisher&rsquo;s is seeking a qualified individual to fill our temporary full-time Purchasing Specialist I position on our Operations Team in Boise, ID. This placement is approximately 6-months in the Boise office, with the potential to extend if needed, remote-work not available. This position is responsible for general Purchasing Customer Support, including processing quotes &amp; orders, coordinating the delivery of supply orders, maintaining accurate Purchasing records, and collaborating with other Fisher&rsquo;s team members to ensure a consistent and exceptional customer service experience.
Roles &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Deliver a consistent and exceptional customer service experience for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Collaborate with Fisher&rsquo;s team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.</li><li>
Communicate directly with Fisher's customers as-needed via phone &amp; email to provide Purchasing support.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and complete records of purchases, orders, and communications in Fisher&rsquo;s systems.</li><li>
Promptly identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues related to orders or processes.</li><li>
Process supply sales quotes and sales orders with accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>
Coordinate the delivery of customer supply orders, ensuring proper allocation and efficient handling of products.</li><li>
Handle escalated customer inquiries or supply-related concerns, resolving them professionally and promptly.</li><li>
Act as a back-up for Fisher&rsquo;s Contact Center to support escalations or supply-related inquiries.</li><li>
Monitor and track orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.</li><li>
Provide regular updates on order status and proactively communicate delays to stakeholders.</li><li>
Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures regarding purchasing, inventory management, and data integrity.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.</li></ul>
Requirements:

 Qualification &amp; Education Requirements<ul><li>
2+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain or customer service preferred.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs and resolve order issues.</li><li>
Customer service-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>
Comfortable working with incomplete information and adapting to changing priorities.</li><li>
Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management software or ERP systems is preferred.</li></ul></div>
