The Graphic Designer will be responsible for using a variety of tools to design and execute great work to meet specific client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:<ul>
<li>With minimal supervision create impactful designs, concepts and layouts based on knowledge of best practices of layout and esthetic design concepts.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with others to get feedback to improve and evolve work.</li>
<li>Determine size and arrangement of design materials.</li>
<li>Provide timely, original creative content leveraging best practices in graphic design.</li>
<li>Create visual representations that translate technical information and concepts that communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate customers.</li>
<li>Use a moderate level of independent judgment and artistic creativity to move designs from concept development to final design and hard copy delivery.</li>
<li>Execute superb team collaboration, workflow initiations and adherence to office and design policies and procedures.
</li><li>Proficient in front end web design.</li>
<li>Perform necessary production work.
</li><li>Build assets and post on all social media outlets.</li>
<li>Research new software and design concepts
</li><li>Stay abreast of technological advances in the industry in order to remain competitive.</li>
<li>Meet all scheduled deadlines.
</li></ul>Requirements<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in graphic design, art or other related discipline.</li>
<li>3-5 years of experience in graphic design.</li>
<li>Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
</li><li>Mac proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of typography and solid foundation of design principles.
</li><li>Front end web design principals are required, HTML skills are not required but an understanding of code is a plus.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Team-oriented, enthusiastic and agile.</li>
</ul>Note: This position is based in Richmond, VA and candidates must be willing to work on-site in our office located in The Fan. Free private lot parking is available.
