Summer Camp Counselor &ndash; Commanders Camps (Summer 2026)Location: DMV Area (multiple sites)Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:00 AM &ndash; 3:30 PMOrganization: Flag Star Football / Commanders CampsAbout the RoleWe&rsquo;re looking for Summer Camp Counselors who bring energy, leadership, and a genuine love for working with kids. Counselors will be assigned a set team of campers (rising 2nd&ndash;7th graders) and will guide them through a full week of drills, games, and scrimmages. You&rsquo;ll be the heartbeat of your group &mdash; setting the tone, keeping them safe, and making sure they have an unforgettable experience.What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Lead a team of campers through daily football drills, games, and scrimmages</li><li>Create a positive, encouraging, and structured environment</li><li>Model sportsmanship, teamwork, and enthusiasm</li><li>Manage transitions, hydration breaks, and group movement throughout the day</li><li>Support coaches and camp leadership with daily operations</li><li>Communicate clearly and respectfully with campers, staff, and families</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Experience working with kids (coaching, babysitting, mentoring, camps, etc.)</li><li>High energy, patience, and strong leadership skills</li><li>Ability to manage a group independently and confidently</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full camp week</li><li>Passion for football or youth sports (all skill levels welcome)</li><li>Must pass a background check</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Commitment<ul><li>Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:00 AM &ndash; 3:30 PM</li><li>Summer 2026 (exact weeks vary by location)</li><li>Counselors must be available for the full week of their assigned camp</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Perks<ul><li>Competitive seasonal pay</li><li>Leadership and youth development experience</li><li>A fun, fast-paced environment with a strong team culture</li><li>Opportunity to make a real impact on young athletes</li></ul>Pay: $17.95 - $25.99 per hourWork Location: In person
