</b></h2><div><div><div><div>The Area Supervisor is primarily responsible for a designated area in which they will coach field employee performance through site observations, build positive client relationships, oversee pre-construction planning and management, as well as promote the safety and quality standards of the organization, while acting in accordance with company values, vision and mission.</div>
</div></div></div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities
</b></h2><div><div><div><ul><li>Manages a team of outside field personnel</li><li>
Direct work to at least two or more other full-time employees</li><li>
Has the authority to hire and fire other employees</li><li>
Establish and build relationships with direct reports through monthly job site visits</li><li>
Responsible for conducting annual performance reviews and supporting employee development</li><li>
Daily travel to job site locations; observations and associated reporting based on designated area</li><li>
Build positive client, State DOT and Local Municipal relations within designated area</li><li>
Responsible for pre-construction management process including client meetings, internal job leads meetings and other communication as required</li><li>
Serve as subject matter expert for internal office staff with regards to order requirements such as personnel and equipment needs</li><li>
Meet with Field Manager on daily/weekly basis to review Crew Leaders's and Advanced Crew Leader's performance and associated metrics</li><li>
Complete and submit daily reporting by way of work zone observations</li><li>
Assist the safety department with the investigation of incidents when requested</li><li>
Responsible for fleet telematics and related driver coaching</li><li>
Professionally represent the organization to clients, employees and the public</li><li>
Submission of HR requests and subsequent delivery of related discipline, in accordance with company guidelines and established timelines</li><li>
Work collaboratively and communicate frequently with other departments</li><li>
Make recommendations to Field Manager for field staff promotions as needed</li><li>
Conduct, attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary</li><li>
Conduct random quarterly, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug tests</li><li>
Successful completion of Area Supervisor Job Training Program and required continuing education</li><li>

Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy</div></li><li><div>
Must hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory</div></li><li><div>
Valid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards</div></li></ul></div><ul><li>
Strong verbal, written, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Developed leadership skills including conflict resolution, and ability to coach and train people and teams</li><li>

Area Supervisor

The Operation Support Specialist position is primarily responsible for meeting client demand through effective dispatch and job support while acting in accordance with company values vision and mission.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Understand and apply all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to daily tasks.</li><li>
Build and maintain positive relationships with Field Leadership for the best possible client experience.</li><li>
Capture and accurately record incidents reported by field personnel, and demonstrate ability to identify appropriate escalation paths as applicable</li><li>
Exhibit excellent customer service skills; including use of appropriate escalation and de-escalation tactics for reported internal and external customer issues.</li><li>
Demonstrate ability to work quickly and accurately during times of Storm Response</li><li>
Maintain a working knowledge of both office and field policies and procedures to assist supporting internal and field staff</li><li>
Monitor, capture, and share information using internal software and systems.</li><li>
Utilize GPS tracking software to monitor locations of field employees and equipment to ensure best route options when dispatching client orders.</li><li>
Work cross functionally and collaboratively with colleagues to ensure client needs are met in a timely and safe manner, while working to minimize adverse impacts to client work.</li><li>
Understand the basics of different workzones, including how to identify necessary equipment and staffing.</li><li>
Understand Pre Construction process and demonstrate ability to relay imperative information to both field leadership and clients.</li><li>
Keep safety at the forefront of all decision making regarding all aspects of client orders (field employee roles, client requests, road type, etc.).</li><li>
Understand various aspects of order dispatch including but not limited to key dispatching times, job totals, criticality, prioritization and status</li><li>
Exhibit creative problem-solving tactics to find multiple viable solutions to issues and challenges.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of client impacts including severity, client notifications, and documentation.</li><li>
Accurately relay information to/from field employees, field leadership, clients, management, and safety personnel.</li><li>
Knowledge of company footprint and core/noncore/mobilization areas.</li><li>
