Role Overview</b></h2>
<p>
We're looking for a <b>Senior Finance Operations Associate</b> located in Mumbai, India, this role will be responsible for end-to-end processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial data, strong internal controls, and exceptional vendor and customer service.</p>

What you'll do:</b></h3>
<ul><li>You will ensure every outgoing invoice has a valid IRN/QR code before sending it to the customer.</li>
<li>You will apply payments to customer accounts in the ERP system with proper remittances.</li>
<li>You will monitor aging, and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.</li>
<li>You will collaborate with the sales/ operations team to resolve billing issues and disputes; assist with credit memos and refunds as needed.</li>
<li>You will review/recon TDS for vendor bills to ensure accuracy and in compliance with company policies.</li>
<li>You will assist with employee reimbursements review, ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation.</li>
<li>You will participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls.</li>
<li>You will assist with month-end close related to payables and receivables, including aging analysis and write-offs if necessary, support audit requests and internal controls documentation.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What you'll need</b></h3>
<ul><li>Thorough understanding of the freight forwarding GST invoicing process, RCM, and TDS deduction in India.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in Finance Accounts Receivable/ Payable.</li>
<li>Degree in Finance/Accounting or related functions.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficient and fluent in English.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret data and present to the key stakeholders.</li>
<li>Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple tasks.</li>
<li>Preferably efficient in Netsuite, G Suite, Microsoft Excel.</li>
<li>Experience in the Freight Forwarding industry is <b>preferred.</b></li></ul><p></p><div><div><br>

   Replenishment to FBA, WFS - Building the next generation of automated replenishment systems as merchant scale with Flexport Reserve Storage, with the promise of lean inventory and no stock-outs.

   Upstream Inventory Management - Creating a single platform for merchants to manage their inventory and plan their supply chain in the self-serve portal with all the insights and recommendations from Flexport.
  </li>

   Wholesale and Retail orders - Building the distribution capabilities to brick-and-mortar retailers and wholesalers. This includes onboarding, ingestion, digitalization, and outbounds of bulk orders.

   Warehouse Operational excellence - Improving the freight booking process and communication across operations, clients, carriers, and partners for inbound, outbound, and all related shipments from or to US warehouse facilities at Flexport.
