Responsibility Summary: 
The Purchasing Coordinator is a metrics-driven position responsible for accurately and efficiently following up on open purchase orders, receiving drop ship orders, contacting vendors for shipping documents, support Logistics department, and completing other related assignments which contribute to the department and company as a whole. This position is designed to work directly with the supply chain team to support the business where needed.
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Ensure vendor item costs are up to date in business system.</li>
<li>Perform Purchase Price Index (PPI) analysis to support Division Supply Chain Manager</li>
<li>Manage Vendor Pricing email inbox</li>
<li>Maintain purchasing inbox – following up with suppliers on order confirmations, receiving dropship purchase orders, and action other supplier communications</li>
<li>Contact outside vendors to follow up on late open orders and collect shipment tracking information on dropships</li>
<li>Accurately and timely receive vendor shipments into the company’s business system, working with logistics, A/P, distribution managers, buyers, and suppliers as required.</li>
<li>Support Logistics department with transactional activity as required and available</li>
<li>Assist team members with projects and tasks as assigned.</li>

Required Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Solid computer skills and data entry abilities</li>
<li>General knowledge of ERP systems</li>
<li>Efficiency using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel</li>
<li>Data Entry experience preferred</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Deadline driven with the ability to multi-task</li>
<li>Analytical mind-set</li>
<li>Ability to identify issues and propose improvements; keen problem solving skills</li>
<li>Ability to contribute as an individual as well as a team-member</li>
<li>Demonstrated effective listening skills</li>
</ul>
Educational Requirements:

<li>High School diploma or equivalency required</li>
<li>Associates Degree preferred</li>
</ul>
