 The Director of Maintenance &amp; Engineering is responsible for ensuring that flyadeal&rsquo;s fleet is maintained to the highest levels of safety, reliability, and dispatch standards. This includes full compliance with manufacturers&rsquo; maintenance plans, GACA regulations, and international aviation standards. The role also oversees new aircraft delivery acceptance, as well as communication between flyadeal and aircraft manufacturers and lessors.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead, direct, and manage the Maintenance &amp; Engineering function to ensure efficient and safe operations, in compliance with GACA and international standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and enforce departmental policies, operating standards, and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and manage the function&rsquo;s annual capital and expense budget.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee procurement of parts, tools, and equipment to avoid operational delays.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor maintenance performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely execution of maintenance operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advance training programs in line with regulations, manufacturers&rsquo; requirements, and best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain proactive relationships with regulators to ensure continuous compliance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead activities related to aircraft, engine, and component leasing, including negotiations with lessors and financiers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee technical deliveries, re-deliveries, retirements, and administration of lease contracts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor fleet compliance with third-party commitments and ensure effective performance reporting systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide market intelligence on aircraft leasing trends and conditions to support strategic decisions.
 </li>

 Requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in aviation/aerospace science or business administration (master&rsquo;s degree preferred).
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid GACA Airframe/Powerplant License.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 12 years of aviation industry experience, including at least 2 years in a senior management/executive role.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of GACA and international aviation maintenance regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in Arabic and English (additional languages desirable).
 </li>
