Job Purpose: The Retail Banker I is responsible for assisting customers with a variety of banking needs as well as the sale of additional bank products to current and prospective customers.We have (1) part-time position available; 22 - 27 hours each week, with schedules ranging between the hours of 1:30PM/2:00PM-5:30PM Monday-Friday, mostly closing shifts, with a potential of occasional opening shifts from 7:45AM - 12:00PM, and including a Saturday rotation (approximately every fourth Saturday) from 8:15AM-12:00PM.Retail Banking duties, job functions, and responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet customers as they enter the bank branch and direct them to the correct area of the bank to conduct their business</li><li>Advise current and prospective customers on bank products and services that are best suited to their needs</li><li>Understand and promote bank services such as Checking and Savings accounts, Certificate of Deposit (CDs), Money Market Accounts, Savings Bonds, Debit Card, Safe Deposit Boxes, Prepaid Cards, Cashier&rsquo;s Checks and Money Orders</li><li>Provide account advice, including product suggestions, account research, and other information in a timely manner, to assigned customers as needed</li><li>Participate in sales, services and product training meetings as assigned</li><li>Provide customers with routine account information including research and problem solving, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary</li><li>Answer and direct incoming phone calls</li><li>Assist with Safe Deposit Box entry</li><li>Receive checks and cash for deposits to accounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and processes transactions through the Teller Capture system</li><li>Cash checks and process withdrawals, loan payments; verifies identity, signatures and customer balance prior to completing transactions</li><li>Assist with balance inquiries and Telephone Transfer requests</li><li>Count, verify, and package coin and currency</li><li>Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift, comparing physical cash count to teller software generated totals. Reports any discrepancies to the Retail Banking Supervisor when necessary</li><li>Balance coin machine and vault as needed</li><li>Verify, log &amp; process night drop and mail transactions</li><li>Process check order requests</li></ul>Eligibility Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):<ul><li>A minimum of 6 months of accountable cash handling/transaction management in a retail or customer service environment desired</li><li>Excellent communication skills required; ability to work in a team environment, learn quickly, and apply knowledge as needed</li><li>Proficient in computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment</li><li>Ability to uphold confidentiality and customer privacy in all situations</li></ul>Software Operating Requirements Include:<ul><li>General knowledge of document origination software preferred</li><li>Familiarity with Windows</li><li>Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams</li><li>Core Bank Software (Jack Henry)</li></ul>Pay and benefit options include:<ul><li>Shift differential of $7/hr. on top of your regular/OT rate for hours worked on Saturdays (if OT applies).</li><li>Eligible to participate in FNC Bank's 401(k) program with no waiting period on receiving Bank match, money vested immediately</li><li>Paid holidays for all holidays observed by the Federal Reserve System</li></ul>FNC Bank is an Equal Opportunity and Family Friendly Workplace certified employer.
