We will also consider hiring in our Columbia, Maryland office.Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software applications - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using various programming languages such as Java, Typescript, JavaScript, C#, Kotlin, and others - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards - Troubleshoot and debug software issues reported by users or identified during testing - Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in software developmentAdditional job duties may apply.Qualifications: -U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance- Experience with a modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C# - Experience with modern web design paradigms, tools, and languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, etc. - Experience using software development tools such as Eclipse, VSCode, Git, Jenkins, Intellij, Docker, etc. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Effective oral and written communication skills - Flexibility to quickly adjust to the changing needs and priorities of a small, rapidly growing business - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience in a related technical field. - 7-10 years related experience in software developmentMinimal travel may be required.Focused Support is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, pregnancy, sex, age, military and veteran status, disability, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal law.
