Organizational Setting</b></p><p>
The main aim of the FAO country offices, which are headed by FAO Representative, is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and to reduce hunger and malnutrition, help to develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors and to use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner.</p><p>
The following position is at SB3 SC6 level.</p><p><b><br>
Reporting Lines</b></p><p>
Under the overall guidance of the FAO Representative in Pakistan, close collaboration with Assistant FAO Representative (Administration) and Direct Supervision of International Logistics Expert.</p><p><b><br>
Technical Focus</b></p><p>
Planning, execution, and control of the procured supplies, movement that includes warehousing, transportation, distribution and stationing of personnel, materials and other resources to achieve the objectives of a campaign plan, project implementation and or any other strategies.</p><p><b><br>
Tasks and responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Responsible for tracking and tracing all procured goods POs locally or internationally to FAO warehouses or designated locations and to inform on accurate tracking status of POs deliveries at all stages of supply chain.</li><li>Responsible for stock management and control of all FAO procured supplies in a specialized storage conditions (temperature controlled) i.e. Cold chain storage and cold chain logistics for animal vaccines in line with FAO guiding principles and procedures.</li><li>Manage logistics operations for the reception, issuing and distribution of Agricultural inputs and assets procured under the projects, including arrangement of efficient and cost-effective transportation to the end user based upon agreed distribution plan and in collaboration with field Logistics and program team at the field level.</li><li>Coordinating with Logistics teams at the field offices to update continuously the supply movement in each location and provide stock report, distribution reports and physical Inventory reports on weekly and or monthly basis.</li><li>Maintain familiarity with relevant logistics legal compliance issues such as import, export, custom clearances, tax exemption policies of host government to ensure compliance.</li><li>Prepare administrative documentation following clearing agent&rsquo;s SOP for tax exemption and custom clearance for international shipments on a timely manner.</li><li>Track and manage shipments though good and clear communications with clearing agents, port/airport handling companies, warehouse and transport management companies involved in any designated operations.</li><li>Responsible for developing managing transportation and dispatch plans of inputs for the last mile deliveries for distribution in close coordination with the program teams.</li><li>Ensure a pro-active link and understanding the organization transportation services needs for goods &amp; personnel movements and ready to take on supporting role fleet management related activities.</li><li>Ensure appropriate filing of all relevant documents, GRN, waybills, inspection reports, copies of invoices, delivery notes &amp; POs (national and international) to ensure accurate tracking and documentation for audit purposes.</li><li>Ensure that all records including inventory lists, stock cards of FAO items and equipment are updated and easily available to authorized users.</li><li>Responsible and ensures periodic inventory reports is prepared as required internally by FAOPK and/or by Donors I.e. Monthly, Quarterly, yearly.</li><li>Work closely with other units, procurement, program, operations and administrative to ensure comprehensive planning and providing support /assistance to all FAO Pakistan projects implementation activities.</li><li>Take the lead on the review and updating the standard operation procedures (SOP) that guide on the process at different levels of Logistics and supply chain.</li><li>Take on other ad hoc logistic and supply chain tasks as assigned by the supervisor and perform any other duty as and when required.</li></ul><p><b><br>

Minimum Requirements</b></p><ul><li>University Degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Transport Management, International Development or areas directly related to logistics operations in FAO or other UN agencies programme implementations.</li><li>5 years&rsquo; field experience of working in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and transport management settings.</li><li>Working knowledge of English (level C)</li><li>National of Pakistan</li></ul><p><b><br>

Guided by the Country Program Framework 2023 -2027, FAO&rsquo;s country programme in Egypt is aligned with country priorities as expressed in national strategies such as; Vision 2030, 2030 Updated Sustainable Agricultural Development Strategy and Action Plan (SADS-2030), National Water Resources Plan, 2017-2037, Egypt National Climate Change Strategy-2050 and First Updated Nationally Determined Contributions (2022), National Food and Nutrition Strategy (2022-2030), Egypt National Action Plan for Antimicrobial Resistance (2018-2022), Programmer (2022), National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women, 2030, Haya Karima Initiative (Decent Life &ndash; Sustainable Rural Communities) 2019-2030, Nexus of Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) Program, and residential Initiative &ldquo;Bedaya &ndash; A New Beginning for Human Building&rdquo;.</p><p>
Through the support of various international donors, FAO Egypt is implementing a growing portfolio of projects covering but not limited to; land and water enhancement, agriculture production, animal health, climate change adaptation, agrifood value chain development, food security and nutrition and support to vulnerable rural and smallholder farmers. Further, an expected pipeline of projects covering climate change adaptation, natural resources management, biodiversity restoration and risk reduction is expected. FAO Egypt also sits in various coordination mechanisms in the country, in a strategic capacity, as a technical lead for food systems and agriculture.</p><p>
To deliver its program, FAO Egypt is working with several line ministries such as Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ministry of Water Irrigation, and Ministry of Youth and Sports.</p><p><b><br>
Reporting Lines</b></p><p>
The National OCOP Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the FAO Representative and the day-to-day guidance of the Assistant FAO Representative (Programme), and the technical supervision of the Lead Technical Officer and Technical Adviser at NSP, in close coordination with the national counterparts, the OCOP National Focal Points and the Project Manager.</p><p><b><br>
Technical focus</b></p><p>
The National Specialist (OCOP) will support the implementation of the project through coordination, technical inputs, capacity building, and contribution to key analytical, planning, and reporting activities.</p><p><b><br>
Tasks and responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Support the organization and participate at the project inception workshop to raise awareness, discuss with the stakeholders the project objectives, and validate the training and extension areas and implementation modalities.</li><li>Contribute to the development of the detailed workplan for the implementation of the project activities in the project country.</li><li>Contribute to the establishment of the OCOP Coordination Mechanism in the project country through the National Task Force to support the implementation of the OCOP initiative.</li><li>Liaise with the international value chain consultant and support the value chain analysis of SAP development in the project country and the draft report.</li><li>Prepare training materials (program, presentations and other handing-out materials), organize and participate at the trainings/workshops and other capacity building activities on sustainable SAP production for smallholders, family farmers and other value chain actors.</li><li>Assist the development of a draft national strategy/sectoral plan/guidelines/standard for SAP development in the project country.</li><li>Assist the formulation of concept notes and proposals for resource mobilization.</li><li>Undertake field missions as and when required.</li><li>Participate in the project workshops, trainings and policy dialogues at national, regional and global levels.</li><li>Prepare monthly reports on activities undertaken, problems faced and possible solutions.</li><li>Contribute to the organization of the Final Workshop to discuss the way forward.</li><li>Contribute to the draft terminal report of the project.</li><li>Carry out any other activities relevant to this assignment.</li></ul><p><b><br>
