Job Summary</b><br>
A time served maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment.<br>
The position will involve carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery<br>
and equipment. Continual improvement and the use of RCA to improve the equipment OEE will be an essential<br>
pre-requisite for this position. Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern is also required.</p><div>
Key Objectives of the Role:<br>
<ul><li>Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.</li><li>Use RCA to identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.</li><li>Improve plant OEE by ensuring issues are dealt with in a swift and effective manner with an effective first</li></ul>
time fix.<br>
<ul><li>Ensure all departmental documentation is completed on time and to company standards.</li><li>Develop the PPM system for key items of plant in conjunction with the maintenance planner to improve plant</li></ul>
OEE.<br>
<ul><li>Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of equipment.</li><li>Rapid response to customers&rsquo; demands with a quick diagnosis of the issue and an effective fix.</li><li>Develop and recommend solutions to improve equipment availability to Maintenance Manager.</li><li>Ensure all work undertaken is done via the company safety rules and procedures including the</li></ul>
undertaking of risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, and safe lock off<br>
procedures.<br>
<ul><li>Be aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to</li></ul>
prevent re-occurrence.<br>
<ul><li>To co-operate readily on the development &amp; implementation of autonomous maintenance (TPM).</li><li>To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested.</li></ul></div><div><b>
The Applicant</b><br>

Essential<br>
<ul><li>NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering.</li><li>Able to read electrical engineering drawings.</li><li>Ability to logically fault find.</li><li>Worked with lock out, tag out procedures.</li><li>Working with a CMMS.</li><li>High level of understanding of PLC&rsquo;s.</li><li>17th Edition wiring</li><li>Worked with CNC machines, Lathes, NDT processes or forge industry.</li><li>Basic electrical installation experience.</li><li>Good problem-solving and organisation skills.</li><li>Worked in a medium to heaving factory environment.</li><li>Experience of dealing with demanding customers.</li></ul></div><div>
Desirable<br>
<ul><li>ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical engineering.</li><li>CNC Fault finding and repairs.</li><li>Forging industry experience.</li><li>18th Edition wiring</li><li>Familiar with Microsoft Office to intermediate level or above.</li><li>IOSH Managing Safely</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p>

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The key function of the Machinist role will be to work as part of a team to process product through the Machine Shop that is produced right first time and that is delivered to the Customer in line with their expectations and requirements.</p><div>
Principle Accountabilities:<br>
<ul><li>Work as part of a team to achieve departmental KPIs with respect to Right First Time, On Time In Full, Productivity etc.</li><li>Operate manual vertical turning lathes and CNC vertical and horizontal turning lathes to process product in line with the method of manufacture ensuring that the relevant standard operating procedure is followed at all times.</li><li>Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure a conforming product produced to the customer specification.</li><li>Setting of tooling</li><li>Record on a daily basis key data and information in accordance with the relevant system and/or process including but not limited to logging production throughput data onto EFACS, raising non-conformance notes, creating and storing data records, writing dimensional reports etc.</li><li>Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by performing daily TPM, and 5S activities.</li></ul></div><div>
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:<br>
<ul><li>Experience of working within heavy manufacturing</li><li>Manual Machining experience (both manual and CNC)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D) detailed written instructions</li><li>Willingness to learn and follow instruction</li><li>High self-motivation and determination to succeed</li><li>GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English</li><li>Computer literate</li><li>Good interpersonal skills, particularly team working</li><li>Excellent time management</li><li>Excellent attention to detail along with good verbal and written communication</li></ul></div><p>
The following skills/experience would be advantageous:</p><ul><li>Familiar with machining special alloy materials</li><li>Experience in programming</li><li>Experience of Fannuc control system</li></ul></div></div>
