</li><li>Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency appropriate to subject and grade level of assignment or has received statement of eligibility
</li><li>Valid Texas ESL Certification for Elementary and Secondary English/ELA teaching assignments, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
</li><li>Valid Bilingual Certification for Bilingual teaching assignments
</li><li>Valid Driver's license with CDL Certification preferred if coaching a UIL sport
</li><li>Coaching experience preferred if coaching a UIL sport
</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of FBISD program of studies related to assignments and public school mission, goals and organization</li><li>
Demonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials and equipment of instructional specialty(ies) to which assigned</li><li>
Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent growth and development or, if applicable, adult learning theory</li><li>
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs</li><li>
Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents</li><li>
Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>
If teaching a foreign language, proficiency in oral and written communication in that language; if teaching choral music, ability to demonstrate proper techniques (singing) is highly desirable; if teaching instrumental music classes, proficiency in one or more musical instruments; for both choral and instrumental music teachers, excellent hearing and ability to determine pitch and tone variations; if teaching in a vocational trade, including business trades, journey-level proficiency in that trade is with on the job journey, lead, or supervisory experience highly desirable</li><li>
If teaching auto mechanics or driver education, assigned off-site tasks or serving as an itinerant, possession of an appropriate, valid automotive vehicle operator's license is required</li></ul><b>
