Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Vendor Management: Research new suppliers, maintain positive relationships with existing vendors, and obtain quotes and proposals.</li><li>Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain detailed records of all transactions.</li><li>Inventory Monitoring: Track stock levels to ensure products and materials are always in stock and to prevent shortages or overstocking.</li><li>Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments and delivery dates, and coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues with delayed or incorrect orders.</li><li>Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the purchasing department, including updating spreadsheets and creating reports.</li><li>Cost Analysis: Assist in evaluating vendor offers, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and negotiating for the best prices.</li><li>Market Research: Stay informed about industry developments, pricing trends, and potential new products or suppliers.</li></ul>Required Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>Education: A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field, though a high school diploma with relevant experience may suffice.</li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets.
