Role Overview:</b><b>
</b></div><div>This job description outlines the requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and duties for the position of Purchasing Assistant of Four Corners Welding &amp; Gas Supply. The Purchasing Assistant helps ensure the organization has the materials, goods, and services it needs by researching suppliers, requesting quotes, and comparing offers. This role supports purchasing operations and works closely with vendors and internal departments to maintain smooth and cost-efficient supply chains.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education &amp; Experience Requirements:</b></div><ul><li>
Required: High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
Preferred: Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field</li><li>
Experience: Equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education.</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities and Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Source goods and supplies for the company and manage relationships with suppliers</li><li>
Research prospective suppliers to determine cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness</li><li>
Place purchase orders, track shipments and ensure timely delivery</li><li>
Manage purchasing schedule</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchases</li><li>
Update pricing and purchase orders within the system and promptly resolve and manage discrepancies</li><li>
Print branch requisition report and fills requisitions</li><li>
Work with all managers and sales team to coordinate purchasing activities</li><li>
Stay up to date on market trends and changes to supply and demand</li><li>
Assist with quality control to meet the organization&rsquo;s standards</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information</li><li>
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations</li><li>
Assist with training department staff</li><li>
Travel up to 5% for trainings, buying shows, and site visits to other locations</li><li>
Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture</li><li>
Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, acknowledging all customers promptly</li><li>
Protects the company&rsquo;s value by keeping proprietary information confidential</li><li>
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations</li><li>

Work Hours and Environment:</b></div><div>
This full-time position requires a commitment to work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Pay Rate: $15/HR</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
