1. Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Deputy Manager for our PurchaseDepartment. This role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring a seamlessflow of materials by optimizing procurement, quality, delivery, and inventory levels. The idealcandidate will be an expert negotiator with in-depth knowledge of market trends, proficient in SAPMM, and skilled in generating actionable MIS reports to minimize costs and prevent stock-outs orexcess inventory.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Strategic Sourcing &amp;amp; Supplier Management&#61623; Identify, evaluate, and on-board reliable suppliers to ensure a robust and competitive supply base.&#61623; Conduct thorough supplier audits and performance reviews based on Quality, Delivery, and Costparameters.&#61623; Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers while managingcontractual obligations.B. Quality Assurance&#61623; Ensure all procured materials and components strictly adhere to defined quality specifications andstandards.&#61623; Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to resolve any material rejection or non-conformance issues with suppliers.&#61623; Implement and monitor supplier quality improvement plans as necessary.C. On-Time Delivery&#61623; Plan and execute purchase orders to ensure a continuous supply of materials aligned with theproduction schedule.&#61623; Proactively track order status, anticipate delays, and work with suppliers and logistics partners tomitigate risks.&#61623; Achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery.D. Cost Negotiation &amp;amp; Purchase Price Management&#61623; Conduct rigorous cost analysis and benchmarking against current market prices for raw materialsand components.&#61623; Lead price negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favourable terms, ensuring annual costsavings targets are met.&#61623; Manage other commercial terms and conditions (e.g., Payment Terms, Liquidated Damages,Warranty) to minimize risk and maximize value.E. Inventory Control &amp;amp; Management&#61623; Monitor and control inventory levels (Raw Materials, Packing Materials, etc.) to minimizecarrying costs while ensuring no stock-outs.&#61623; Define and implement Min-Max, Re-order Point, and Safety Stock levels for key items incoordination with planning and production teams.&#61623; Analyse slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and develop action plans for theirdisposal or utilization.&#61623; Ensure high inventory record accuracy by coordinating with the stores team and through periodiccycle counts.F. SAP &amp;amp; Process Compliance&#61623; Must have hands-on experience in the SAP MM (Materials Management) module for allprocurement and inventory management activities.&#61623; Efficiently process Purchase Requisitions (PR), generate Purchase Orders (PO), and managegoods receipts and invoice verification.&#61623; Ensure all purchasing and inventory control activities comply with company policies, procedures,and internal controls.G. MIS, Reporting &amp;amp; Data Management&#61623; Prepare and share Daily and Weekly MIS Reports with the Head of Department, covering criticalmetrics like pending POs, stock levels, inventory turnover, delivery schedules, and cost variations.&#61623; Take primary responsibility for preparing, analysing, and maintaining monthly MRM (MaterialReview Meeting) data, including inventory health reports.&#61623; Generate ad-hoc reports on spend analysis, supplier performance, inventory aging, and marketintelligence to support management decisions.3. Qualifications &amp;amp; Experience&#61623; Educational Qualification: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, orBusiness. A Master&rsquo;s degree or diploma in Materials Management will be a distinct advantage.&#61623; Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in a procurement or purchasing role,with demonstrable experience in inventory control, within a manufacturing or engineeringenvironment.4. Required Skills &amp;amp; Competencies&#61623; Mandatory Technical Skills:o Proficiency in SAP MM module is essential.o Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Charts) for data analysis and reporting.&#61623; Core Competencies:o Expert Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate prices and commercial terms effectively.o Strong Analytical &amp;amp; Problem-Solving Abilities: Data-driven approach to inventory optimizationand decision-making.o Supplier Relationship Management: Skilled in managing and developing supplier partnerships.o Knowledge of Inventory Management Principles: Understanding of EOQ, ABC analysis, andother inventory control techniques.o Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal andexternal coordination.5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)&#61623; Inventory Management:o Inventory Turnover Ratio.o Reduction in Excess &amp;amp; Obsolete (E&amp;amp;O) Inventory.o Achievement of Inventory Accuracy Targets (&gt;98%).o Reduction in Stock-Out incidents.&#61623; Procurement:o % Cost Savings achieved against target.o Supplier On-Time Delivery Performance (% OTIF).o Reduction in Material Rejection Rate (PPM).&#61623; General:o Accuracy and timeliness of MIS &amp;amp; MRM Reports.o Adherence to the procurement and inventory budget.Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;900,000.00 - &#8377;1,000,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
