 Job Summary/Description
 
 
 
 FOX Carolina is looking for a high-energy Reporter/MMJ who doesn't just "cover" stories but owns them. We need a journalist who can think on their feet, develop community roots, and deliver impactful storytelling across every screen. The ideal candidate for this position is a rock star on breaking news, enterprise stories, and special projects.  Duties/Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Respond with urgency and authority to developing stories, ensuring our audience is the first to know and the best informed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Shoot, write, and edit stories that go beyond the surface to show how local events impact the lives of our viewers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Write and post engaging content for our digital and social channels platforms
 </li>
 <li>
 Enterprise unique stories: Don't just wait for a press release; develop sources and pitch original "only-on-FOX" stories every single day. Look for the lead story.
 </li>
 <li>
 Bring energy and clarity to your live reporting, making viewers feel like they are right there on the scene with you.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with our award-winning newsroom team to shape daily editorial decisions and long-term strategic coverage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain the highest standards of integrity and editorial judgment in everything you produce.

 Qualifications/Requirements

 A digital-first mindset: You understand that "the story" lives on social media, our app, and our website just as much as it does on broadcast.
 </li>
 <li>
 MMJ versatility: shoot, edit (EDIUS experience is a plus!), and present with professional polish.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigative curiosity: You have a natural "need to know" and the persistence to dig deeper into the stories that matter.
 </li>
 <li>
 Outstanding Writing Skills &amp; Dynamic Live Presence
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexibility: You&rsquo;re ready to jump in when the big story breaks, whether that means weekends, overnights, or staying through severe weather.

 You believe that news is a team sport and you bring a positive, "can-do" attitude to the newsroom every day.
 </li>
 <li>
 A degree in journalism or a related field and a reel that proves you can do it all. Minimum 2 years of reporting experience. (MVR check required).
