Must be available for on-call emergencies 
Must be able to lift 50 pounds 
Must be able to work outdoors 
Must be willing to work independently 
Must maintain a professional appearance, manner and approach while on duty 
Good interpersonal communication skills 
Self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and a positive attitude 
Able to plan, organize, and prioritize projects and time

Full job description 
 
Leasing Agent 
Under the overall direction of the Property Manager shows and leases apartments to prospective residents and supports property's marketing plan as directed by the Property Manager. 
 
Job Functions, Unique Duties and Responsibilities: 
Essential Functions include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned based on company needs. 
 
<ul><li>Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring the &ldquo;model&rdquo; apartments and target apartments are ready for show; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the &ldquo;curb appeal&rdquo; of the property.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.</li>
<li>Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.</li>
<li>Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material.</li>
<li>Responsible for &ldquo;shopping&rdquo; competitive properties.</li>
<li>Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.</li>
<li>Responsible to conduct out-reach marketing at least once per week.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an on-going resident retention program under direction of Community Manager.</li>
<li>Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files.</li>
<li>Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports and related information.</li>
<li>Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.</li>
<li>Responsible for assisting Property Manager in collection of delinquent rents.</li>
</ul>Job Qualifications: 
 
<ul><li>Minimum 1 years working in the apartment industry. Prior Customer Service experience strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the Internet, and Property Ware management software.</li>
<li>Bi-lingual helpful.</li>
</ul>Some Saturdays required.</div>
