Free People is seeking a Temporary Print Designer to support the creation and development of original print and pattern artworks that reflects the unique style of the Free People customer. This role contributes to the the surface design and trend process for the Free People brand producing on-brand artwork and clear, concise tech packs.</div><div></div><div><br>
This is a 2-3 month temporary ON SITE assignment at the URBN headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.</div>
Role Responsibilities:<p></p><div><br>
<ul><li>
Collaborate closely with the Design Director to execute the seasonal textile vision. Be actively involved in the seasonal trend process, providing structured insights and supporting the Design Director to ensure the vision is realized.</li><li>
Work with design and buying teams to develop prints, surface designs and embroideries for retail and wholesale divisions. Participate actively in design flow meetings.</li><li>
Use traditional drawing, painting, and other artistic techniques, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and AI, to create artwork, layouts, and colorways that are on-brand and trend-appropriate.</li><li>
Develop seasonal print and surface design mood boards that reflect trends for collection, balancing customer-forward innovation with volume needs.</li><li>
Stay current with fashion trends related to print and color, incorporating them into designs while ensuring they remain fresh and brand-appropriate.</li><li>
Maintain organized file folders with established saving and naming conventions to facilitate easy access for teammates.</li><li>
Develop print layouts and provide colorways, collaborating with the color team to align with specific palettes. Work with product development and technical designers to set up engineered prints. Generate CADs to communicate print placement on garments and create technical packages for artwork to be sent to vendors and factories.</li><li>
Keep the office and workspace organized and tidy.</li></ul></div><br>
Role Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Fine Art, Illustration, or related experience strongly preferred.</li><li>
Professional Experience in Print/Textile/Surface Design required.</li><li>
Ability to work on-site 5 days per week in Philadelphia, PA</li><li>
Proven experience in print and textile design with strong skills in hand drawing/painting and digital rendering.</li><li>
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Fresco, and NedGraphics.</li><li>
Competence in Microsoft Office 365.</li><li>
Experience and enthusiasm for creatively exploring AI platforms.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with a flexible and positive attitude.</li><li>
A creative mindset with a passion for surface design and trend.</li></ul>

Free People is looking for an International Merchandise Planner who will be responsible for forecasting demand, analyzing sales trends, managing inventory levels, and identifying opportunities to drive growth for the eCommerce and Wholesale Channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong Excel skills, a passion for data, and a connection to the Free People brand.</div>
Role Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Develop International eCommerce demand sales plans in partnership with Planning leadership</li><li>
Own topline and category-level sales budgets, forecasts, and margin goals for eComm</li><li>
Own topline and category-level inventory plans for Int&rsquo;l eCommerce (OTB) and WS Int&rsquo;l</li><li>
Run International key item forecasts and ladder plans for eCommerce and WS and ensure receipt flow to maximize sales and mitigate inventory risk</li><li>
Analyze historical data, current trends and provide hindsight reporting to inform product opportunities and selection in each region</li><li>
Monitor KPIs including sales, sell-through, inventory turn, margin, fill rate, and return rate to identify risks and opportunities in pre-planning phase as well as in season</li><li>
Work closely with eCommerce operations, site merchandising, marketing, planning, and sales teams to ensure alignment on inventory placement strategies</li><li>

The Assistant Buyer works with the Buyer to determine the overall mix of product for each buying area to ensure that the final mix is ultimately customer oriented and curated to achieve a set profit plan.</li><li>
Assistant Buyers should give feedback regularly on the product in all styleout and product related meetings.</li><li>
Eagerness to contribute to product development heavy classes by collaborating with buyer and vendor partners</li></ul><div>
Organizational Support</div><ul><li>
Provide ad hoc statistical reports to Buyers upon request.</li><li>
Help to maintain accurate Buy Sheets by class.</li><li>
Maintain some excel reports for buyers and planners as needed.</li><li>
Take photos of samples when needed and maintain photo logs or libraries of samples.</li></ul><div>
Sample Management</div><ul><li>
Manage the samples within the Department.</li><li>
Obtain samples from vendors for all product meetings and manage the safe return of all samples.</li><li>
Ensure that all &ldquo;kept&rdquo; samples are neatly organized by classification and by season.</li><li>
Regularly clear out old samples and maintain tidy sample area.</li><li>
Manage photo handover weekly where new product gets shot for the web.</li></ul><div>
Communication</div><ul><li>
Speak clearly in all meetings and email correspondence</li><li>
Ensure all written documents (including email) are grammatically correct.</li><li>
Represent and confidently speak about the UO brand and customer to all outward facing market vendors</li><li>
Manage large magnitude of email streams across a diverse vendor database and in turn, be able to communicate and give updates to manager regarding vendor feedback</li><li>
Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external colleagues including: planning, creative, DC etc.</li><li>
