What We Look For
We are looking for an AP Accountant with a keen eye for detail to help us manage invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. You'll play a key role in keeping our accounts payable accurate, organized, and on time. This role maintains strong relationships with suppliers, ensures compliance with internal controls, and supports month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and employee expense claims in line with company policies.<ul><li>
Verify the accuracy of invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and delivery notes.</li><li>
Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies</li><li>
Ensure all payments are properly coded, authorized, and recorded in the accounting system (Odoo).</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date vendor accounts and reconcile statements on a monthly basis.</li><li>
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement.</li><li>
Track advances, prepayments, and ensure proper settlements.</li><li>
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities (accruals, provisions, schedules).</li><li>
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and internal controls.</li><li>
Support audits by providing relevant documentation and reconciliations.</li></ul> 
Qualifications &amp; Work Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>
3&ndash;4 years of proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting.</li><li>
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g. Odoo).</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliations.</li><li>
Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with vendors and colleagues.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul></div>
