This role works behind the scenes supporting client accounting operations, improving workflows, and ensuring accuracy across multiple engagements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technology-savvy, and proactive in identifying ways to automate, streamline, and strengthen accounting systems. This position uses various technology tools to thrive in a remote environment. Please also complete the DISC profile assessment (https://www.tonyrobbins.com/disc/) and include your results in the email, along with your resume and salary requirements.Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities:Client Accounting<ul><li>Manage accounting for multiple clients across a variety of industries including nonprofits, wineries, service businesses, and other small to medium sized businesses.</li><li>Perform monthly close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of monthly deliverables.</li><li>Produce regular financial reports and assist with ad-hoc reporting as needed.</li><li>Support year-end processes including 1099 preparation, W-2 review, and coordination with CPAs</li><li>Record and process S-Corporation health insurance premiums</li></ul>&middot; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable &amp; Cash Management<ul><li>Manage accounts payable workflows using tools such as Bill.com or similar platforms.</li><li>Oversee accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, and payment tracking.</li><li>Monitor and organize client financial transactions to maintain clean and reliable accounting records.</li></ul>&middot; Payroll &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Support payroll processing and review across platforms such as Gusto, ADP, Paychex, and QuickBooks Payroll</li><li>Ensure payroll accuracy and support payroll tax reporting and compliance.</li><li>Assist with multi-state payroll considerations when applicable.</li></ul>&middot; Systems, Technology &amp; Process Improvement<ul><li>Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve accounting workflows.</li><li>Implement improvements to accounting systems, reporting, and internal processes.</li><li>Document procedures and support firm-wide consistency in accounting practices</li><li>Leverage technology and automation to operate efficiently in a remote environment.</li></ul>While this role is focused primarily on client accounting operations and systems improvement, team members at FreshEye may have opportunities over time to participate in additional areas of the firm including Financial analysis and reporting support; Strategic financial discussions with clients; Systems implementation and workflow consulting; and Participation in advisory and business strategy initiatives.Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum 8 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting multiple clients or entities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting</li><li>Advanced QuickBooks Online experience required</li><li>Experience with Bill.com, Microsoft Office, and other accounting technology platforms</li><li>Payroll processing and payroll tax experience</li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong communication and client service skills, including email, phone, and virtual meetings</li><li>Technology-forward mindset with interest in automation, systems improvement, and workflow efficiency</li><li>Collaborative team player with professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic</li><li>Passion for supporting small and mid-sized businesses</li><li>CPA credential preferred but not required</li><li>Audit experience and exposure to financial analysis or advisory work are a plus</li></ul>Pay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Describe a time when you improved or automated an accounting workflow.</li><li>How do you stay organized when managing multiple deadlines and clients?</li><li>Why are you interested in working with FreshEye?</li><li>Describe your experience managing accounting for multiple clients or companies simultaneously.</li><li>What accounting and workflow tools have you used regularly?
