<div>Job Summary:
The Region Vice President of Merchandising drives Sysco Specialty company&rsquo;s product, supplier, and sourcing strategy to meet revenue and margin goals. Lead a team of merchandisers who are responsible for the growth of revenue and margin in specific product categories, business analytics team focused on performance reporting and customer targeting, site content team maintaining accurate content and pricing, as well as supply chain management. 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Build, manage and develop regional merchandising teams through regular department meetings; on-going interaction &amp; communication; monitor associate morale; and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.</li><li>
Interprets, trains, and consistently reinforces Company policies, procedures, and tools.</li><li>
Works with logistics to optimize supplier shipping performance.</li><li>
Manage item cost (product and freight) accuracy.</li><li>
Leads efforts with merchandisers to obtain vendor marketing spend.</li><li>
Makes decisions based on reporting and provides status and timelines to the key merchandising team members and company management.</li><li>
Heads and inspires teams to deliver high-quality category strategies.</li><li>
Establishes a strategy and category financial forecasting with category merchandisers for each category.</li><li>
Directs &ldquo;Strategic&rdquo; supplier meetings with category merchandisers.</li><li>
Provides input for marketing, communication, and promotional activities.</li><li>
Sets pricing strategy and works with the manager of business analytics to implement and maintain the pricing model.</li><li>
Administers supplier logistics to deliver products effectively and efficiently to customers.</li><li>
Manages inventory spend on stocked products.</li><li>
Manage shrink and approve credits as needed.</li><li>
Studies and acts upon all market trends, new products, innovation, and niches to drive additional sales and site loyalty.</li><li>
Conducts the supplier rebate table and meets with accounting to forecast annually.</li><li>
Coordinates the merchandising training programs for the organization.</li><li>
Manages the buying group relationship and training:
</li><li>SEFA training program, SEFA Pro for the organization (lunch and learns, etc.), supplier training at corporate, and training webinars.</li><li>
GSB Beef Merchandising and SSMG COE Merchandising teams</li><li>
Transfers knowledge from category management initiatives to the organization to improve the sales and profitability of the company.</li><li>
Works cross-functionally with sales, marketing, logistics, information technology (IT) and accounting to support goals.</li><li>
Interface with IT development to continually improve the look, feel, and effectiveness of all customer and marketing associate (MA) facing web sites.</li><li>
Integrate with IT operations to ensure all systems are performing at acceptable levels, bandwidth issues do not arise, data support is at or above customer expectations, platform redundancy and emergency preparedness plans are in place.</li></ul> 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions.</li><li>
8+ years management/professional experience. Significant category management, merchandising and/or operations experience within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment preferred.</li></ul>

Purchase quality products, on time, at a competitive price, in the correct quantities so the company can grow and maintain sales and margins. Using only fully approved (Corporate) vendors and following corporate contracts. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Review item movement to determine purchase needs, cut PO&rsquo;s (purchase order), review PO (purchase order) confirmations.</li><li>
Physically review inventory daily with a larger focus on more critical/sensitive items</li><li>
Handle all credits and returns promptly to minimize shrink</li><li>
Work with pricing department, vendors and corporate to ensure all PO&rsquo;s (purchase order) priced correctly</li><li>
Plan and source logistics to support customers and maximize profitability.</li><li>
Coordinate with Sales to maximize the timely utilization of all inventories, maximize inventory turns and reduce inventory shrink</li><li>
Maintain the accuracy and stay up to date on all item maintenance, including COO (country of origin), local, etc.</li></ul> 
QUALIFICATIONS 
Education<ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
College degree preferred.</li></ul> 
Experience<ul><li>
3 to 5 years purchasing in like field and/or working within a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment</li></ul> 
Professional Skills<ul><li>
Fluent in Excel, Word, outlook, and basic PC navigation.</li><li>
10 key and typing at a minimum of 30 words per minute.</li><li>
Determination of how much of any given item to have on hand which can carry a great dollar value.</li><li>
Rejection of product, protection on the troubled product, inability to recover shrink, substitute items when short of stock item.</li><li>
Effective and timely verbal and written communications.</li><li>
Able to prioritize and execute multiple short and long terms tasks simultaneously.</li></ul>

Buyer

<div>JOB SUMMARY 
A router is responsible for fielding incoming calls from drivers and customer service. Gathers and records delivery time information and delivery status on selected accounts. Routes orders for next day deliveries, along with assisting with other functions required of the transportation department.
RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Administer the routing system by manually routing orders using RoadNet.</li><li>
Performing maintenance on the routing system.</li><li>
Set up new accounts for the routing system.</li><li>
Prints and sorts pick tickets for distribution to shippers.</li><li>
Preforms dispatching functions.</li><li>
Reconciles driver manifest.</li></ul> 
QUALIFICATIONS 
Education<ul><li>
High School or GED.</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
Minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience in a transportation/warehouse environment.</li></ul>
