This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves in the details and stepping back to think strategically about the business. This person will handle everything from closing the books each month to forecasting future performance, creating investor reports, and updating development budgets, while also providing leadership and guidance to our small but mighty accounting team. This position will report to the CFO.What You'll Do:<ul><li>Close the monthly books on time and make sure everything is accurate.</li><li>Reconcile Revenue for HMDC and other affiliate entities.</li><li>Run investor projections, prepare reports, and keep project budgets and forecasts up to date.</li><li>Complete cash flow analysis and reports as needed.</li><li>Forecast for HMDC and our other affiliate entities.</li><li>Oversee financial statements for all family business activities.</li><li>Provide support and oversight across AP/AR functions as needed.</li><li>Manage, support, and mentor team members.</li><li>Work closely with leadership on planning, strategy, and &ldquo;big picture&rdquo; financial decisions.</li><li>Pitch in on other projects and responsibilities as they come up.</li><li>Work with CPAs to prepare tax estimates and annual filings.</li></ul>What We are Looking For:<ul><li>A strong background in finance and accounting (CPA or MBA is a plus, but not required).</li><li>Intermediate to Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.</li><li>Ability to understand and manage financial statements and project budgets.</li><li>5&ndash;8+ years of experience with ownership of the close process and experience mentoring or leading others (formally or informally).</li><li>Someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and organized.</li><li>A natural problem solver and self-starter who can work independently but also enjoys being part of a small team.</li><li>Comfortable wearing different hats &mdash; from preparing high-level forecasts to helping with AP/AR when needed.</li><li>A good communicator who can explain numbers clearly to non-finance persons.</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks preferred</li></ul>Why Join Us:<ul><li>Be part of a close-knit, family-run business where your work truly makes an impact.</li><li>Opportunity to grow with us as our businesses expand.</li><li>A supportive environment where we value integrity, trust, and teamwork.</li><li>Competitive pay and benefits.</li></ul>What to Look Forward to: <ul><li>This role is designed as a growth path into Director of Finance and ultimately CFO, with direct exposure to ownership, investment decisions, and multi-entity operations.</li></ul>Offered compensation: <ul><li>$100K&ndash;$135K depending on experience</li></ul>Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
