Position Overview:We are seeking a full-time in-house Web Developer &amp; Technical Maintenance Lead who will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and expanding our WordPress-based web portal. This role bridges technical development and operational stability &mdash; ensuring our platform remains functional, secure, and scalable as new products and features are introduced. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in WordPress development, front-end design, and basic DevOps/maintenance skills to manage hosting, backups, and troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Website Development &amp; Maintenance:<ul><li>Maintain and update the company&rsquo;s WordPress-based website, ensuring uptime, performance, and security</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (e.g., plugin conflicts, site downtime, broken links)</li><li>Manage website hosting, SSL, backups, and domain-related tasks</li><li>Optimize website speed and ensure cross-device and browser compatibility</li></ul>Technical Oversight &amp; Documentation:<ul><li>Maintain proper documentation of website architecture, plugin usage, and maintenance routines</li><li>Provide periodic technical reports on performance, security, and updates</li><li>Manage staging environments and version control for future development</li></ul>Feature Enhancements:<ul><li>Work with management and the design team to implement new features and improve user experience (UX/UI)</li><li>Develop or customize WordPress plugins and themes as required</li><li>Integrate payment gateways, analytics tools, and APIs related to subscription management</li><li>Support the deployment of new research products, ensuring seamless integration into the website</li></ul>Collaboration:<ul><li>Coordinate with designers to translate creative ideas into functional web elements</li><li>Work with researchers to upload and structure research reports and digital content</li><li>Support the management team with insights on improving user engagement through technical means</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in WordPress development and maintenance</li><li>Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL</li><li>Experience with WordPress theme and plugin customization</li><li>Familiarity with hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, etc.), domain management, and SSL setup</li><li>Basic understanding of website security, SEO best practices, and Google Analytics</li><li>Knowledge of responsive design principles and UX/UI improvements</li><li>Familiarity with WooCommerce and integration of payment gateway</li></ul>Preferred (Bonus) Skills:<ul><li>Familiarity with Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and Paid Memberships Pro</li><li>Knowledge of basic server management</li><li>Exposure to data visualization tools or interactive dashboards is a plus</li></ul>Personal Attributes:<ul><li>Reliable and proactive problem-solver with a hands-on mindset</li><li>Able to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision</li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on clean, maintainable code</li><li>Strong communication skills and comfort working in a cross-functional team</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Type:<ul><li>Type: Part-time (on-site and remote)</li><li>Salary: Competitive, based on experience and capability</li><li>Probation Period: 3 months</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per monthExpected hours: 4 per weekWork Location: In person
