Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our defense contracting team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives while honing your skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.Duties<ul><li>Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections using Unanet accounting software</li><li>Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives tailored for defense contracts.</li><li>Maintain audit-ready records.</li><li>Support governmental accounting requirements by preparing reports in accordance with federal regulations and contract-specific guidelines.</li><li>Utilize various financial software tools including Unanet, Isolved and others to process payroll management and data entry tasks efficiently.</li><li>Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities while maintaining meticulous records for audits and internal reviews.</li><li>Perform account analysis through account reconciliation procedures for the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to ensure integrity of financial data.</li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial transactions.</li><li>Contribute to process improvements by identifying automation opportunities within bookkeeping, data entry, or payroll functions</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>US citizen, eligible for secret clearance or higher</li><li>Analytical thinker</li><li>BS degree, preferably accounting with 3.0 GPA or higher</li><li>2 + years&rsquo; experience preferred</li><li>Accounting and Office Systems knowledge/experience</li><li>o 1+ year's Experience Using Unanet accounting- timekeeping and iSolved payroll software required for this job)</li><li>o Excel-very proficient, to include Macros/Visual Basic Applications, desired</li><li>o Access -basic proficiency</li><li>o PowerPoint-basic proficiency</li><li>o Word-basic proficiency</li><li>o Outlook-basic proficiency</li><li>o Adobe Acrobat-basic proficiency</li><li>o QuickBooks-basic proficiency:</li><li>- integrating with other software such as:</li><li>--Rates Plus</li><li>--Unanet timesheet (electronic timesheet systems)</li><li>- developing reports</li><li>o Familiar with government information systems such as PIEE (also known as WAWF including MyInvoice)</li><li>o Interacting with DFAS</li></ul>&middot; Accounting Knowledge:o Knowledgeable about GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)o Conceptually understand business issues and their effects on the financial statementso Knowledge of indirect rate calculations and applicationso Familiar with defense contract accounting rules (Defense Contract Audit Agency-DCAA) and requirements preferred.o Duties include, but are not limited to:&sect; estimating and reconciling travel in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations&sect; processing all facets of payroll, accounts receivable, timesheets, etc.&sect; posting bookkeeping entries&sect; reconciling and analyzing accounts&sect; preparing budgets and cost estimates&sect; preparing and analyzing financial statements (P&amp;L, Balance Sheets, etc.)&sect; maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial statements<ul><li>Responsive, disciplined, discrete, positive, team player</li><li>Proactive problem solver, able to use available technology to research business-related issues</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong organizational and analytical skills</li><li>Ability to offer helpful suggestions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness</li></ul>Pay: $26.50 - $33.60 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lawton, OK 73501
