This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting while making a positive impact on oral health.Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols.</li><li>Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.</li><li>Manage electronic medical records using EMR system Carestack, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding.</li><li>Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a sterile clinical environment.</li><li>Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during chairside assisting.</li><li>Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation with precision.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred</li><li>Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge is essential for effective communication and accurate record keeping.</li><li>Preffered, Hands-on experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and infection control practices is required.</li><li>Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and the use of a 3D scanner will set candidates apart.</li><li>Understanding of HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques ensures safe patient care.</li></ul>Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
