Position Overview</b></h1><div>
Funatix Events is seeking an experienced <b>Director of Marketing, Events</b> to lead all marketing, communications, digital strategy, and ticket sales initiatives across our event portfolio.<br>
</div><div>
This is a <b>senior leadership role</b> responsible for managing a high-performing internal team (Marketing Manager + Communications Manager), developing data-driven growth strategies, and owning the marketing results for some of North Dakota&rsquo;s most recognizable events.<br>
</div><div>
The Director of Marketing sits on the organizational leadership team and plays a central role in brand strategy, ticket revenue, audience expansion, sponsor value amplification, and the overall attendee experience.<br>

Key Responsibilities</b></h1><div><b>
Department Leadership &amp; Team Management</b><br>

Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team (2 direct reports)</li><li>
Drive clarity and accountability within the marketing department</li><li>
Align marketing strategy with company goals, leadership priorities, and revenue targets</li><li>
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sponsorship, Ticketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Audience Growth, Ticket Sales &amp; Campaign Strategy</b><br>
</div><ul><li>
Own all ticketing-related marketing strategy for 30+ annual events</li><li>
Develop segmentation strategies and targeted campaigns</li><li>
Create and optimize promotional offers, group packages, and value-driven fan experiences</li>
Build annual marketing calendars and event-specific launch plans<br>

Digital Marketing &amp; Paid Media Execution</b><br>
</div><ul><li>
Oversee all email, SMS, digital advertising, geotargeting, retargeting, and paid social</li><li>
Manage creative direction and asset briefs for design and video teams</li><li>
Ensure unified brand voice across social, web, advertising, and on-site channels</li>
Build and improve the digital customer journey (awareness conversion retention)<br>

Develop and maintain a strong, cohesive brand identity for Funatix Events</li><li>
Oversee messaging, tone, creative storytelling, and content production</li>
Direct public communications and event messaging (scripts, announcements, PR alignment)<br>

Website, App &amp; CRM Oversight</b><br>

Manage digital platforms, website updates, UX flow, and event landing pages</li><li>
Ensure accurate, up-to-date, conversion-optimized event information</li>
Maintain clean, organized customer databases with effective tagging and segmentation<br>

Analytics, Insights &amp; Reporting</b><br>

Track, measure, and report on campaign performance and ROI</li><li>
Use analytics tools (GA4, Meta Ads, URL tracking, dashboards) to drive decisions</li>
Forecast attendance trends and provide recommendations to leadership<br>

Event Support &amp; Brand Representation</b><br>

Attend and support major Funatix events (nights/weekends as needed)</li>
Represent the brand publicly at events, media engagements, and community partnerships<br>

What We&rsquo;re Looking For</b></h1><div>

Experience</b></div><ul><li>
5+ years in marketing leadership (events, sports, entertainment, tourism, or consumer brands preferred)</li><li>
Proven success driving ticket sales, digital engagement, and measurable audience growth</li>
Direct experience managing people, delegating effectively, and developing talent<br>

Strong command of CRM/email platforms, segmentation, and automation</li><li>
Expertise in paid media (Meta, Google, TikTok, display)</li><li>

Knowledge of AI platforms and automations</li><li>
Adobe Creative Suite, Canva experience is a plus</li>
