Job Title: Head Retreat HostBrief Description: This part-time position with flexible hours is responsible for coordinating preparations for our guest groups as well as coordinating coverage and care for them during their time on our campus.Fox Valley Christian Action partners with the local church in discipling people in the under-resourced communities of the Fox River Valley into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ! Since 1977 FVCA has served children and families in low-income communities in Elgin, Carpentersville, and Aurora. The school districts serving these communities identify 40,000 children coming from low-income families within 15 miles of our campus. We have an 85 acre Christian camp and conference center where we provide a completely free overnight summer camp and weekly after-school programs for children and teenagers from our local communities. We partner with the local church in our ministry because we believe that it is God&rsquo;s design for all believers to be discipled in the context of a local church. It is our vision to see every child and family that we serve growing in a life-transforming relationship with Jesus through the church. Our commitment is to provide a variety of activities where children and families can take their &ldquo;next step with Jesus.&rdquo;In addition to our community-based ministry, FVCA also provides its facilities on a rental basis for guest groups including churches, youth groups, men's / women's groups, conferences, athletic teams, and corporate business meetings.Position Responsibilities: To take great care of our guest groups through understanding their needs and coordinating any setup, meal preparation, or other FVCA services to prepare for their arrival, and then to oversee their care while they are on our campus. Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Contacting Guest Groups who have an upcoming event booked with us and getting a clear understanding of all of their needs for their event (arrival times, meals, setup, AV, etc.)</li><li>Acquiring additional paperwork from guest groups if needed (COI, deposits, Guest Setup Checklist, etc.)</li><li>Coordinating with any FVCA staff involved, such as the facility team, a weekend host, food service, or tech support, to make sure that we are prepared for their arrival and that they will be properly cared for during their stay</li><li>Training, coordinating, and coaching the Guest Group Hosts</li><li>Representing FVCA and making sure that guests understand the policies, &ldquo;rules&rdquo;, and &ldquo;boundaries&rdquo;, of using our campus and that they take care of the facility while they are here</li><li>Maintaining detailed event information for all onsite guests for final billing</li><li>Post event follow up with our team to determine what went well and what needs improvement</li><li>Participating in other supportive functions of the ministry</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Passionate Christ-follower with a heart for serving families in under-resourced communities</li><li>Must be administratively gifted and have the gift of hospitality</li><li>Proficient in Google Suite Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Email, etc.)</li><li>Reliable, resourceful, self-motivated, team oriented, problem solver, can work with a wide range of people and backgrounds</li><li>At least 5 years of work experience preferably in administration, ministry, or hospitality</li><li>Willing to work flexible hours and occasional weekends when needed</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Physical Setting:<ul><li>Camp</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>FVCA is a non-denominational Christian Ministry committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
