<div>Job Title: Transportation Coordinator 
Company Introduction: G&amp;C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. Our distribution center is in Syracuse, NY. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 35 countries internationally.

G&amp;C Foods is currently looking for a professional and dynamic Transportation Coordinator located in Syracuse, NY.
Location: Syracuse, NY 
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM 
Job Summary: 
This position will assist in the daily customer service and administrative activities of the Transportation Department to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of service to our customers. This is a fast-paced job and often requires multitasking. 
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Check Drivers delivery status using the electronic log system and update the</li><li>
Transportation/Dispatch Supervisors with all concerns</li><li>
Ensure drivers are leaving on time at scheduled leave times</li><li>
Communicate with Sales, Purchasing, Customers, and Drivers concerning delivery appointment times and ETA</li><li>
Make appointments for customer deliveries daily</li><li>
Use of communication channels, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, text messages, and web portals</li><li>
Send late truck report to distribution list, contact affected customers, track and update as needed throughout the day</li><li>
Provides driver support to drivers on dispatch/route/tractor/trailer issues during the morning</li><li>
Update the power dock with the accurate ETA of inbound freight</li><li>
Book hotel rooms for drivers as needed</li><li>
Monitor trailer temperature alarms</li><li>
Additional duties as assigned by manager or supervisor</li></ul>
Experience and Education Required:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s or associate degree in a related field preferred</li><li>
Experience using Microsoft products such as Word and Excel required</li><li>
Warehouse loading experience preferred</li><li>
Experience in the food industry is a plus</li><li>
Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus</li></ul>
