<div>GA Foods is seeking to hire a Food Prep Cook for our Covington, GA location. The Food Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food for daily distribution by following pre-defined recipes and menus, while meeting time-sensitive requirements and adhering to food safety standards and specifications at our Covington, GA location. This role includes packing and portioning food according to menu specifications, assisting with clean-up, storage, required recordkeeping, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities<ul><li>
Prepare meals under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor or Unit Management for distribution, following standardized recipes and portion controls</li><li>
Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control protocols</li><li>
Assist with cleaning the kitchen, packing area, and other areas as directed</li><li>
Perform general utility duties as assigned</li><li>
Prepare meats, sauces, casseroles, desserts, and gravies</li><li>
Operate meat slicers for slicing meat products</li><li>
Complete and maintain required paperwork and records</li><li>
Assist with facility sanitation and housekeeping</li><li>
Pack food products and components accurately according to menu specifications</li><li>
Participate in all required company training, including but not limited to HACCP, GMP requirements, and ServSafe certification</li><li>
Provide support to Packing and Sanitation staff</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by management</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
Some industrial cooking experience preferred</li><li>
Ability to operate equipment such as meat slicers, steam kettles, convection ovens, warmers, pallet jacks, and similar equipment</li><li>
Ability to follow written recipes and cooking/packaging instructions accurately</li><li>
Must be able to meet the employer&rsquo;s attendance standards</li><li>
Ability to portion and pack products to precise quantities and counts</li><li>
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly on a regular basis throughout the shift</li><li>
Required to work a full-time scheduled shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, or until production is complete</li></ul>

Work Environment<ul><li>
Work is performed outdoors and inside a vehicle</li><li>
Regular exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow</li><li>
This position follows a standard weeklyschedule,however, weekend work may be required based on business needs.</li></ul>
