Job Description
The main purpose of the job is to act promptly, professionally and effectively, attending to draft container/cargo/ bunker surveys as well as surveys for collisions/pollution/marine Incidents and sealing/unsealing of hatch covers. The surveyor will also witness cargo samples during analysis in labs, respond to all business correspondence, maintain accurate and regular timesheets, coordinate with third party contractors, meet financial targets, provide advice to Principals/P&amp;I Club Members, and meet with local ship owners and agent to enhance business relationships. The job contributes towards department goals and targets by proactively handling claims and generating as much income as possible. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li> 
 Handle marine surveys from 1st notification to conclusion</li><li>
 Attend to surveys whenever appropriate and retain as much as the outsourced survey work as possible</li><li>
 Read and respond to all correspondence and incoming mails from Principals and P&amp;I Club Members</li><li>
 Prepare clear and concise survey reports as per P&amp;I Club requirements</li><li>
 Maintain accurate and regular time sheets of all work done and account for all disbursements</li><li>
 Liaise with third party contractors and use appropriately for survey work</li><li>
 Achieve set financial targets every month and follow up on outstandings</li><li>
 Conduct marketing with local ship owners and agents</li></ul> 
Requirements<ul><li> 
Marine Engineer with surveying experience</li><li>
Preferably, holding a UAE Driving License</li><li>
Good knowledge of marine practices and technical know-how, good local contacts with agents</li><li>
Excellent English communication skills and knowledge of sub-Asian Languages</li><li>
Proficient in MS Office and communication applications/software</li><li>
At least 3 years&rsquo; experience in similar role; 5 years of experience in surveying or P&amp;I work; 3 years sailing experience</li></ul>

<div>We are seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant to join our team and assist with operational matters related to vessel handling. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and professional completion of services while maintaining accurate records and invoices.
Duties will include:<ul><li>
Assist in operational matters in relation to vessel handling to ensure timely and professional completion of services.</li><li>
Create service records in the operational system to assure all services rendered are accurately recorded for invoicing purposes.</li><li>
Ensure supplier invoices related to the jobs are received in the supplier invoice management system and liaise with suppliers for any invoicing requirements.</li><li>
Support the Operations team with vessel visits or attendance as needed.</li><li>
Assist with customer queries and requirements regarding services rendered.</li><li>
Help in promptly passing operationally closed job files on for Invoicing.</li><li>
Ensure on-time renewal of company-provided Government IDs.</li><li>
Assure availability and proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required.</li></ul> 
Educational Qualification: Minimum Graduate with University degree or equivalent.
Professional Qualification: Knowledge of location and traffic rules; port/customs rules and regulations.
Specialist Knowledge: Proactive, well-dressed, and mannered.

Computer Aptitude: Good knowledge of computer and phone usage.

The Job
GAC relies on our IT systems to provide the best solutions that help our users around the world. We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist (Software Engineer) to join us to apply their technological skills to make us even more efficient.
This role is part of the Application Support function which ensures availability and accessibility of the application(s) according to agreed service levels and business priorities. The primary goal of the role is to support production issues and to debug/troubleshoot and fix them to eliminate or minimise the adverse impact on the GAC Group&rsquo;s business operations.
The role involves close working relationship with the Infrastructure and Architecture &amp; Development departments whose mission is to build or configure, maintain or enhance, and eventually decommission applications/services through their life cycle. 
Objectives<ul><li>
Perform 2nd and 3rd line support activities for the application(s) in coordination with the Development Team and the Helpdesk.</li><li>
Manage incidents, proactive alerts, change requests, and service requests to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, production processes &amp; framework and other Group standards.</li><li>
Ensure incidents and requests are resolved/fulfilled within agreed service levels and where applicable workarounds are provided to minimise business impact with timely escalations to the next level of support for faster resolution.</li><li>
Provide proactive, timely and professional follow-ups with and updates to external and internal customers.</li><li>
Take part in application improvement projects and bug fixes in coordination with the development team to ensure the stability and performance of the application(s).</li><li>
Produce and maintain clear documentation on application functionality and support procedures in the Knowledge base.</li></ul> 
Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>
A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably related to computer science or equivalent.</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), C#, REST APIs, .NET Core / .NET Framework, and DevExpress UI components (WinForms and/or WPF).</li><li>
Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and troubleshooting (Azure SQL preferred).</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud-hosted applications and container-based solutions (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Web Services).</li><li>
2+ years of production support experience in application development, software engineering or technical services.</li><li>
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in .NET Core application development.</li><li>
Experience working on RDBMS and No-SQL databases.</li><li>
Knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management processes and a good understanding of ITIL best practices. (ITIL foundation certification would be considered a plus but not mandatory).</li><li>
Previous experience developing and supporting financial solutions in the Supply Chain, Shipping and Logistics domain will be considered an added advantage.</li><li>
Exposure to application development, integration, testing and release will be a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and related tool exposure will be an advantage.</li><li>
Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.</li></ul>
